Nice, convenient dinner before Guthrie show

Take dinner on site at the Guthrie before your show and save the scramble to get there on time! We have a very nice meal at a reasonable price in an interesting setting, then had plenty of time to walk through the theater and get to our seats.

We are season ticket holders and always have dinner here. We live a good hour away, so this is most convenient for us. Tonight's dinner started with the garden salad and was followed by the pork tenderloin with sour cherries and asparagus. For desert, it was the root beer creme brûlée. This was the fixed menu for the fixed price... More

We wanted to get to the theater early to avoid parking rush and time concerns, but we didn't have dinner reservations at any restaurants. Though we've never seen this before, there were available seats at Level 5 so we decided to go there instead of their express cafe. The guys ordered the mac n cheese, the other woman got the... We were at the Guthrie for My Fair Lady, on vacation from North Carolina. We had no clue where to eat, so we headed to the Guthrie about two hours before the show to find a spot. We stumbled upon the Level Five Cafe and decided to eat there! I loved that the menu was based off of the show!... More

Ordered a couple of salads and drinks. The chicken in one of the salads was pink, not cooked. The chicken in the second salad was like cardboard, very dry and cold. Service was efficient and prices fair. But, the place is very noisy and hectic. I've had better cafeteria food. We will not go back.

What Level 5 Cafe has going for it is convenience before shows at the Guthrie. The service was good. The food was fine. But none of it would compel me to go there but for its convenience. There is no kids menu but the mac 'n cheese is decent (it has a smoked cheese flavor so not all kids will... More

Although the menu is limited, there were enough selections so that the four in our party were each able to find something to suit their taste buds. All four of us had something different and we all enjoyed our selections. If you are looking for someplace to dine before a Guthrie performance, this is a great choice. The servers are... More

We had lunch here on a Saturday. Our server was not very friendly and never asked us how our food was. The $14 plate of risotto was salty and left me still hungry. The description said it had peas and asparagus; there were about 10 peas in it and 5 tiny little chunks of asparagus. My aunt had the $15... More

The service is quick as they are expert at getting you in and out in time for the performance. The food has always been beautifully prepared and presented. So convenient to get parked and be able to relax there a few minutes before the performance.

My wife and I had supper last night, March 20th, and both agreed it was one of the best meals we've ever had there and certainly one of the best ones we've had in downtown Minneapolis. We had the Prix Fixe menu and it was in a word---delicious! The service was friendly, prompt and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal! I'd... More
