What Level 5 Cafe has going for it is convenience before shows at the Guthrie. The service was good. The food was fine. But none of it would compel me to go there but for its convenience. There is no kids menu but the mac 'n cheese is decent (it has a smoked cheese flavor so not all kids will... More

Take dinner on site at the Guthrie before your show and save the scramble to get there on time! We have a very nice meal at a reasonable price in an interesting setting, then had plenty of time to walk through the theater and get to our seats.

Although the menu is limited, there were enough selections so that the four in our party were each able to find something to suit their taste buds. All four of us had something different and we all enjoyed our selections. If you are looking for someplace to dine before a Guthrie performance, this is a great choice. The servers are... More

We had lunch here on a Saturday. Our server was not very friendly and never asked us how our food was. The $14 plate of risotto was salty and left me still hungry. The description said it had peas and asparagus; there were about 10 peas in it and 5 tiny little chunks of asparagus. My aunt had the $15... More

The service is quick as they are expert at getting you in and out in time for the performance. The food has always been beautifully prepared and presented. So convenient to get parked and be able to relax there a few minutes before the performance.

My wife and I had supper last night, March 20th, and both agreed it was one of the best meals we've ever had there and certainly one of the best ones we've had in downtown Minneapolis. We had the Prix Fixe menu and it was in a word---delicious! The service was friendly, prompt and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal! I'd... More

Got here early, way before the pre-show rush and was overlooked by my waitress. She was nice but sloooow. Everything took a long time unlike other groups that were served more efficiently. The food was Ok. I may give it one more try if I'm in the area again.

If you are attending a performance at the Guthrie, you can't go wrong with Level Five. On the other hand, I'm not sure it worth a special trip just to eat there. Service is excellent. The servers practically run to and from the tables to make sure everyone, even the late-comers, can make it to curtain call. They work very... More

We enjoyed another great meal at Level Five Cafe. The fish entree always seems to be excellent. Very delicious (and large) roasted beet salad was split between the 2 of us. Service is prompt. So convenient! Nice bar, too. The only negative would be that it seems a little crowded. (Be sure to store your winter coat in a locker... More

Level Five is a nice restaurant in the Guthrie Theater. The lunch menue is small but good. The quiche of the day is always superb. The pulled pork sandwich is great. Their mac & cheese is excellent. Because theater patrons must go through the restaurant to get to one of the stages, the restaurant gets a little noisy and busy... More
