This is our favorite Italian restaurant in town. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic. I also recommend the brunch. It is a favorite brunch spot as well. Its a brunch buffet serving an interesting Italian spread. The buffet isn't that big but a great selection of items. Brunch price is around $16 per person. The only thing I would not... More

We have wanted to visit Al Vento for Sunday brunch for some time and finally made it last Sunday. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the variety. We liked almost everything we tried. The service was unfortunately not as good as the food, our waitress did not seem to really care that we were there. We had to... More

We had the "date meal" last night. It is a great way to try a variety of dishes! The super Tuscan was wonderful! There were 5 of us and all of us loved our apps, salads, and entrees! Highly recommend!

Incredible pizza - best I have ever had outside Italy, NYC, or New Haven. They had a mushroom and squash flower version that was terrific. Rest of menu looked great and nice wine list. Worth a visit.

Wonderful food wonderful service. Very creative menu, however, the wine and beer offerings need improvement. No good cab or chard. Doesn't everyone offer Summit?

I had a wonderful meal here on a recent Tuesday night. Fortunately I was dining solo, because if I was in a group of more than 2 we would have had to wait. I certainly didn't expect it to be so crowded. But even with the crowd I had a fantastic meal (the restaurant is broken up into 3 separate... More

The place is in a great location in our neighborhood and we looked forward to trying it, and although it wasn't horrible we don't plan on going back. Brunch buffet was set up in the front dining room, but did not smell very appetizing when we walked in - just sort of a strange sour smell. Food was pretty basic... More

Had the scampi, but it was so oily and greasy. Floating in it. They used to have an outdoor dining patio and now it is enclosed with too many tables. I really liked the outdoor ambiance. The location is good, situated near Minnehaha Parkway.

The food at al Vento is some of the best Italian I've ever had. Appetizers The bread and oil is ridiculously yummy. Their bruschetta is worth getting too. Entrees The Gnocchi with fresh asparagus maitake mushroom and zucchini is amazing. Their pizza is also pretty great. I've gone to brunch and find the food to be very good, considering it... More

First off... it was Mother's Day. I went with my Mother-in-law, and my Grandmother-in-law, and the waiter never once said "Happy Mother's Day". Not once. Not once, did I get a refill on my "unlimited drink" and the rest of my table might have gotten one refill. The brunch food, doesn't merit any positive mention in this review, because there... More
