High end food and service, french style cooking unmatched in the twin cities. The restauraunt moved several years ago to its new location in a 1920's era hotel. Typical of the style, if you are going to avoid going to a late night bar for additional food than either eat something before you go or order the Grand tasting menu,... More

This is the place in Minneapolis for high end fine dining. Spend the evening and have the wine paring with the tasting menu. The food is excellent but in Tim McKee style, this is not Bishops or Bucca - expect small to tiny tastings of excellent flavors and textures. Be prepared to spend if you want to get full but... We have been there twice and also at Vincents a few times. I will say that I enjoy Vincent's a little better, the atmosphere is ok at La Belle Vie, but is much more vibrant at Vincent's. The service is good here, and if you want a private dinner with good service at an old school place this is for... More

My wife and I recently returned from a vacation including London and France. This included eating at one of the best restaurants in Paris, at Le Meurice hotel. La Belle Vie can hold its head high in direct comparison. My wife and I both at the Grand tasting menu, which included 13 courses. Amazing creativity. A wide variety of foods... More

It's a cool restaurant being in an old building from 1928. Food is not your typical fare. Very cool ingredients. Uses a fusion method. Did a 8 course faire but potions are very small. Not a good cit if you volume of food.

I was so heartbroken by the service during our special evening out that I'm not sure how to write a useful review. Just know, dear traveler, that while I suspect that most people have a really special time at this restaurant, there are those of us who do not. Overall, when paying a $400+ bill, I expect consistently excellent service,... More

I've wanted to go to La Belle Vie for years now, but just haven't gotten there. We went to celebrate our anniversary just recently and we will be going again as soon as our budget allows! It is seriously in contention for the best restaurant in the Twin Cities. The atmosphere was wonderful- the tables are nice and big and... More

There aren't many places where you can sit in the lounge/bar and have a world class meal, served impeccably by knowledgeable staff while you're enveloped in a warm and exquisitely furnished room. That is La Belle Vie in a nutshell. From the honey and lavender poussin legs to the saddle of rabbit with beets and foie gras, the starters are... More

This is a seriously excellent restaurant. We live in LA, and La Belle Vie would be one of the best restaurants in LA, if it were here. We had the tasting menu. Every course was excellent, interesting, and well presented. Food was better than the Michelin 1* we ate at in Chicago on same trip.

A group of 4 of us went for my partner's birthday last week. This place is AMAZING! The staff, the professionalism, the food, the wine. Delicious! We all did the Chef's Tasting Menu - we highly recommend! The food was so amazing - we had a lovely time. The staff was super nice and sweet. They put a 'happy birthday'... More
