Hidden Delight

This restaurant is a hidden gem off of Lake Street. I cannot believe we haven't been here before!! The service was excellent. The restaurant ambience cozy and delightful. Parking is a bit hard though. I had the beet infused cosmopolitan and WOW. Just WOW. Had two of those. We had the beef and... read more

I'm typically weary of ordering pork chops from any restaurant- worried about getting a thin, dried out piece. This was seriously the best pork chop I have ever eaten. It was thick and juicy. I don't even remember what my boyfriend ordered because I was left in a pork trance :) We did order a cheese plate as an appetizer... More

Enjoyed a Sunday evening neighborhood dinner at this attractive bistro. Service was pleasant and efficient without being intrusive. The menu is short but features a nice variety of choices. Portions are very generous

We were in around 7 on a Wednesday night. It wasn't very busy, but service was a little pokey. We had the Bibb salad, the smoked feta dressing was very good. For entrees, my partner had the grilled porkchop with mashed potatoes. I had the beef burger with blue-cheese aioli and bacon and fries. The blue cheese aioli was good,... More

I had heard about this restaurant for quite a while and had put off going to it because it was known to be moderately priced, and I was saving special occasions for the restaurants I knew. After having my first meal at this restaurant last night, I clearly see what a poor strategy I had employed and that my failure... More

I really like the Craftsman. Not too expensive for a "I don't feel like cooking tonight" outing, but nice enough for a special evening. Food adventurous to a point, but not so out there that you don't know what you are eating. Good beers, modest wine list with good choices in all categories. Service usually, good, although it can vary... More

I went to Craftsman anticipating a good dining experience, but it turned out to be a fantastic experience! I started with a bibb lettuce, dill, cucumber salad with a light buttermilk dressing--so delicious! For my entree I had a special salmon over summer vegetables--cooked to perfection and just so flavorful. Bread also delicious! I wasn't going to have dessert but... More

I took my Fraulein to the Craftsman to celebrate a recent promotion. We were seated outside on the vine-framed patio on a perfect spring evening. The Dark and Stormy and Craftsman Manhattan cocktails were perfect accompaniments to the Artisan Cheese Plate, an assortment of tasty breads and crackers, flavorful cheeses and tangy chutneys and jellies. The Craftsman Rueben was so... More

Went to the Craftsman last night and it was amazing. Jenean was our server, she was charming, knowledgeable and paced our meal perfectly! We split the charcuterie plate which was wonderful! The favorites on it were the duck pate’ and the pork rillette. I would come back and just eat this as an entrée with some side veggies ! For... More

My husband and I have been here twice for brunch. The food was Fantastic! The best tasting eggs I've ever had, the orange juice was delicious! My husband said the coffee was great! Portions are Huge and you will stay satisfied the rest of the day, not too full! Make sure you show up before 10am on Sunday, we were... More
