I took my Fraulein to the Craftsman to celebrate a recent promotion. We were seated outside on the vine-framed patio on a perfect spring evening. The Dark and Stormy and Craftsman Manhattan cocktails were perfect accompaniments to the Artisan Cheese Plate, an assortment of tasty breads and crackers, flavorful cheeses and tangy chutneys and jellies. The Craftsman Rueben was so... More

Went to the Craftsman last night and it was amazing. Jenean was our server, she was charming, knowledgeable and paced our meal perfectly! We split the charcuterie plate which was wonderful! The favorites on it were the duck pate’ and the pork rillette. I would come back and just eat this as an entrée with some side veggies ! For... More

My husband and I have been here twice for brunch. The food was Fantastic! The best tasting eggs I've ever had, the orange juice was delicious! My husband said the coffee was great! Portions are Huge and you will stay satisfied the rest of the day, not too full! Make sure you show up before 10am on Sunday, we were... More

Recently visited The Craftsman for the first time and really enjoyed our experience. Went with my family for a birthday celebration and we were all very happy with our meals. We started with the humus plate and it featured a generous portion of humus with fresh vegetables and flatbread crackers - very nummy. We each had different entrees - oven... More

The duck confit was wonderful however it was supposed include a side of couscous - my dish was anci de pepe, not couscous without any explanation. That was OK, I like anci however it was only lukewarm and had it not been our wedding anniversary and we were enjoying ourselves I would have sent it back for re-warming - and... More

My wife and I and our children and grandchildren, 17 in all, including 5 under 3, had a wonderful meal at the craftsman. The staff was prepared for us and showed exceptional dexterity in accommodating all the needs that such a varied group had. For instance theymwaited to see who needed big glasses and who needed small ones for water.... More

I've been here a few times and I recommend the Charcuterie plate. Good meats and spreads served with toasted bread. Be adventurous if you can! I always get a meat entree, but the last time I ordered the Salmon special. It was awesome! Perfectly done salmon served on a bed of greens (many I did not recognize) topped with a... More

Good food, a little pricey, but at least it had good portions. Our table ordered the duck, bison, risotto and everyone was very happy with their dishes. The kitchen was very accommodating with requests on gluten free, etc. the restaurant was also very quiet, but a nice pace for a double date.

Last week I went to the Craftsman with two of my friends. Was surprised to find the interior so smart and such clean lines. The food was excellent in taste and presentation. I definitely will go back.

Craftsman has a consistently wonderful kitchen, with amazing specials, fabulous 'old favorites', and ever-changing seasonal menu. Last week we did not opt for the incredible hand-made cocktails (beet cosmo, summer thyme cooler, etc). Instead a simple meal --- Start (always) with charcuterie appetizer. It's the most amazing $15 appetizer platter anywhere in the Twin Cities (the equivalent number of 'small... More
