I stopped by Surdyk's Liquor & Cheese shop right after eating at Kramarczuk's, which is across the way. Wow, I've never been to a liqour store where there were many stations to sample different liquors, beers and wine. The liquor stations even had special cocktails made or you could sample a straight dram. Since liquor is not sold on Sundays... More

We received a gift certificate to Surdyk's so we visited the store before taking a road trip to California, to get some things we could easily eat for lunch in the car. They had amazing cheeses (although expensive, they were so good), sliced meats and delicious little crostini's as well as chocolates, condiments and very unique food items you don't... More

This was my first visit to Surdyk's, and I hope it wasn't the last. They carry many deli items, beers, and wines from around the world. The lavender infused vinegar is simply delightful with bread.

It isn't the cheapest, but you can't beat the selection or the convenience. I find great items in the deli to buy for the hard-to-gift folks in my life. I like to grab the hummus or some chocolate as a treat to myself. Then I walk into the liquor store and drop $114 in 10 minutes on liquor, wine and... More

This is THE best place in the twin cities to get different types of cheeses. Their prepared foods are beautiful. If you want a excellent sandwich get their original ficelle (proscuito.) I crave it. Staff is knowledgeable especially the cheese counter. Also fun selection of chocolates and crackers.

I was so thrilled to find that they carry my new favorite, Schilling Cider. Can't get it in Colorado yet. Staff is very knowledgeable, cheese is so tasty.

My rating would have been a five but I must give a two. When my business travels bring me to Minneapolis I look forward to my visits to Surdyk's, I really appreciate the vast selection of wine and high-end cheeses in the cheese shop, however this recently changed. This young man was so arrogant toward me. I came to purchase... More

If you are a turophile (I looked it up), I promise you will love this place. If you're like us, and don't know much about cheese, but know what you like and are willing to occasionally splurge for it, well...welcome to Surdyk's. Great selection of cheeses, including hard-to-find aged, crumbly English cheddar and soft, delicious Spanish blues. You'll also find... More
