I went to Tryg's with a friend to listen to some music and have a few drinks. I had a great time, the atmosphere was nice. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Overall, my experience at Tryg's was a positive one, and I definitely would come back.

We had a very large group and they seated us promptly. Their Happy Hour on Saturday goes until 7 pm - wow...unheard of. We would definitely come back and hope to sit outside and enjoy another happy hour. They serve popovers with the meal...ours were overdone and crunchy so didn't enjoy them as much as I would usually them, but... More

As we entered, with a reservation, we waited 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us in the entry. We were the only people there, so I guess they just weren't expecting any customers. Only 5 tables were used during the 2.5 hours we spent there. (We were there to talk.) Since we were spending a lot of time talking, it... More

Absolutely the worst service I've ever had. Not only did they up charge our bill but they took it upon themselves to add a tip to my credit card receipt as if I wouldn't notice... Disgusting!

Tryg's has always been a 'home' restaurant for us. It's not too far down the road, and has a 'home' feel with an inviting (always lit) fireplace and cozy bar. The evening, weekend music is a nice touch occasionally, but generally we just prefer one of the nice half round booths, or the patio. For us, the proximity, the smell,... More

Went to this restaurant with friends. The ambiance is perfect for a a social evening with friends ... the seating is comfortable ... the acoustics keep patron chatter to a minimum ... and the wait staff is attentive without being pushy. The menu offers plenty of variety, with several interesting twists on traditional restaurant staples. My only issue is that... More

My first visit to Tryg's was Mother's day. The brunch spread was huge. The food hot and fresh, the service impeccable. It was a little pricy, but the old saying "you get what you pay for" fits here. The chefs were on hand at the buffet to help with dishes, explain and carve. They kept an eagle eye to ensure... More

Tryggs. I was able to eat at Nora’s before it was torn down and replaced by this newer and more stylish eatery close to Lake Calhoun. It has some distinctive features such as a rounded ceiling and a unique shared wash room area. Statues adorn the facilities as well and the space was well designed in terms of a outdoor... More

Enjoyed dinner on a Saturday evening. The play was lively, but not to loud to talk. I thought the menu was very good. Enjoyed a calamari appetizer, just a little more breading then I prefer, but it was tasty. Dipping sauce was excellent. Cocktails and beer were very good. Enjoyed salad entrees served with hot popovers and bread. Server was... More
