Note: this place is now in Foshay Tower, no longer on Nicollet. This is a really outstanding place to go for breakfast. The interior is beautiful and stylish, but homey and friendly. Most importantly, these guys really know how to cook! Every dish we had was outstanding. Be sure to check out the Foshay Tower museum and observation deck while... More

We came upon Keys Cafe during a walk in downtown Minneapolis. We went to see the Foshay tower and ended up in the restaurant on the first floor. The food was good, the service was great, the location was wonderful - in the center of downtown. This was a nice surprise as we were actually planning on going to another... More

We've eaten here 3 or 4 times, and have always had great food, great service, and we love the charm of this cafe. If you are looking for a great breakfast, this place is a winner! Oh, and the bakery goods are great as well.

It is a bit tricky finding a good spot for breakfast in downtown Minneapolis. Key's was recommended by our hotel (the Hyatt Regency) but I wasn't overly impressed with anything Key's had to offer. Service was adequate and food was standard middle-of-the-road diner fare. Interior was very adequate but nothing special.

If you like BIG (and by it I mean gigantic) portions of food for brunch... this is the place to go. If you don't (like me) then don't even stop for a drink! Hashbrowns were greasy and flovourless... omelet was not so bad in flavor but the size was so ridiculously gigantic it could be easily shared with one or... More

Set up like an old diner. tables and counter service. Sat at the counter for lunch with eight others. Everyone had burgers and fries and salads. All different style burgers. All delicious. I would highly recommend to all. But don't get fooled and garbage up on your meal leave some room, they have all kinds of pies, cakes, cookies and... More

I went for lunch and it was packed! My local host advised me that it's pretty typical that it is. After eating my party melt I can see why. It wasn't the best I've had but it was dang good. I liked the choices for fries too, as there are about four different styles to choose from. Downside other than... More

My friends recommend this place close to our hotel. It did not disappoint us. Nice big American breakfast for a good price. Also quick and attentive staff. Highly recommend.
