The Local was my local for my Minneapolis visit

Nice, large Irish pub style place, with an enormous bar with nice nooks and crannies for cozy hanging, plenty of tvs for watching sports, and a long bar (with hooks, ladies, for your purse!). The food was 6/10 - not great, not bad, a wee bit above average, but they had a great beer selection and... read more

I live in Ireland and when I went to an Irish pub for dinner was not expected much as they are known for the beer and not for the food. Well...was a very good surprise as the menu I order was great. Small pieces of meat with vegetables and potatoes with a delicious sauce. The desert also, very good. Toffee... More

Get a booth for bunch and a few cold beers. They have great irish beers served tall and cold. It's a nice walk to the restaurant so park elsewhere and enjoy the stunning surroundings.

Great local, craft beers! Try any of the regional draft beers and you won't regret. Food is also good - the tomate soup is nice.

Stopped here for lunch and to watch the six nations. Staff very attentive and quick . Bar with mainly traditional beers. They try to copy bar food from UK pubs. It is a cross of US and English. Had the fish and chips . Not traditional thick cut chips but fries ( no problem with that ) fish you get... More

I was able to quickly get a beer a the bar while I waited for a table to be ready. The SMS-based table notification service is great for such a busy environment. We were seated at a table in a small room off to the side that was quiet enough to easily carry on a conversation, even with full-blown St.... More

One of my downtown favorites. Great for groups of any size and has fun event spaces upstairs and in their side room. They can handle large crowds, have outdoor seating, enough TVs to watch soccer (if you're into it) and lots of beer and whiskey. It's much larger than it appears at first. Good menu too. We always have a... More

Had a very good experience coming here for dinner before a show at the Orpheum. What we liked the most is the coziness and privacy of the booth we sat at - it seriously cuts down the noise and lets you have a conversation even when the bar is full. Food was great - I had the pot roast dinner,... More

Loved the atmosphere and service! We enjoyed the late night menu of apps. The food was great. I've enjoyed visiting the Local several times. Never a disappointment.
