Packed with People Nice Pub Menu

All day and well into the night, the patio is packed with diners enjoying great pub fare and a variety of beers and whiskey. The fish & chips is fabulous with walleye. The Brooklyn Ale or Alaska Blonde Beers are fresh and delicious for a summer afternoon or night,

Food is very good and not expensive, outdoor and indoor seating; while eating outdoor you can enjoy the "movement" at Nicollet Mall. Service was very good and fast.

Ate here on the strength of previous reviews...and because there was available outdoor seating on a beautiful Sunday evening. Was not disappointed! Server was attentive...quick, but not hovering. A tasty Guinness. I loved the sausages and mash...the Mrs. had the fish & chips with walleye (not cod!) and claimed it was the best she's had in the States (so far,... More

Good place.. Irish and South England decoration. Good selection of licor. You must try the tiny cakes in the house. Very tasty. I went there during snow storm last year and couldn't seat outside. Good place.

I really enjoy the Local, while it is a very large establishment that you wouldn't typically find overseas, it does have quaint touches and a really great vibe. The food is very good, I have eaten there twice and am always happy with the quality and presentation of the dishes. What I am not thrilled with is how they make... More

Great place to sit outside when the weather is good. They card everyone and starting at a certain time the card you before you enter the building. They have the typical Irish and US drinks, maybe a little over priced. Example Guinness was about $6 for a pint, but can get that any non-Irish bar for less. We did not... More

We stopped in for dinner and couldn't have picked a better place. There were several beers available and the wait staff was more than happy to provide samples. We had the calamari appetizer. There was more than enough for two. I had the apple and Brie salad which was fresh, crisp and extremely good. My husband had the fish and... More

The place was packed and people were eating outside on the patio in 50 degree weather. We were hungry for lunch and it looked interesting. Upon entering the restaurant, people were wearing their coats and the doors were wide open. Why couldn't you close the doors and keep the restaurant at a decent temperature. The hostess sat us at a... More

We both had the fish & chips, and we honestly weren't overwhelmed by the dish. The beer selection was ok. Our waitress was great and very attentive. One huge downfall- they allow smoking on the outside sidewalk sitting area which is a HUGE turnoff when I am eatting. We decided to have an extra beer and dessert elsewhere because we... More
