fun place with beautiful, cozy decor. Lots of cute nooks and cranes to dine in. Great menu choices with fair prices, very good beer selection.

Whether you are wanting a place for 2 people or a party of 50+ The Local is the place to go. The atmosphere is the best I have ever visited. Food is great. Drinks are the best in the business. Service is friendly and fun! If you are in visiting Minneapolis this is the best place to visit.

My colleagues and I had a fabulous time at the bar. We sipped a couple of drinks, ate the AMAZING hot pretzels and had a really fun time chatting with our bartender Matt! We returned for lunch and devoured bowls of homemade soup, amazing salads and delicious fish. We were once again entertained by Matt and had lots of fun!... More

We were able to reserve a back room at The Local for a group of 20 for dinner/birthday party. Everyone ordered off the menu and got seperate checks for food/drinks. Rueben, Pot Roast dinner, Sheperds PIe and meatloaf dinners were all homecooked and served hot. Great selection of beer and whiskeys too. Will definitely go back when downtown Minneapolis.

Wonderful atmosphere, food and drinks. We always visit when we come in to town and usually end up at the Local a couple of times.

This is a fabulous restaurant. I enjoyed this twice during our stay in Minneapolis. First, for beer & bar food. The second time was more of a meal with a large group. I had the Reuben for dinner and it was HUGE - and I ate the WHOLE thing because I simply had nowhere to keep the leftovers, so might... More

We went for lunch and we could not have picked a better place. The host Todd treated us with a warmth that you have with good friends and the server was outstanding. You have to have the pot roast sandwich and the tomato soup was fantastic. Prices were very reasonable as well.

The fish and chips were awesome! Went back to for a 2nd visit and had the buffalo burger. It was great. The atmosphere was just like a true English Pub. And for those annoying couples always making out in front of you, they can go to the "Kissing Room."

We visited on a sunny Sunday morning in September, perfect for outdoor brunch. We sat outside, of course, and the tables around us filled quickly. We ordered from the menu, although plates from the buffet looked good, too. If you know what black pudding is and you're a fan, I can give the Irish breakfast a solid recommendation. The American... Great food indoor and out experience. Great food and beverage selection. Like stepping out of Minneapolis and into my ancestors pub.
