The Local!

My group and I came to The Local due to not having time to wait for a table at Ling & Louie's; I'm glad we did. I loved in the interior décor. The tables were set in their own private areas; however, it wasn't super romantic if you go with friends. I tried the Fish and Chips and was very... read more

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The fish and chips were outstanding, the restaurant used quality fish with a light fry. Additionally, the deserts were outstanding, we enjoyed the trio, definitely worth saving some extra space for, even if it means foregoing some of the fries on your plate.

Really good pub food at a good price. Enjoyed the Skinny Ginger cocktail. They use a specially made whiskey that has a sweeter taste and smooth finish and add a locally made ginger ale. Delightful atmosphere. Came in hungry and thirsty. Left full and hydrated! Outdoor seating available.

We visited on a very busy Saturday night and were able to get a table in a relatively short amount of time. The wait staff was very friendly and I can't recommend the Chicken Potpie highly enough! So good!

have been here a couple of times with a pretty good experience, but not so much today. Had fish and chips which were really just missing fish and had lots of fries to make up for it. I think some of the worst that I have ever had to be honest. Was with a customer so I didn't want to... More

My wife and I ate lunch here recently after a Minnesota Orchestra Coffee Concert. We reserved a booth and absolutely loved it. Just sitting in one of these booths makes you feel that you're in a special place. The service we received was friendly and prompt. We enjoyed our meals very much, too. Afterwards, we took our drinks out onto... More

We love The Local! My family and I often go there for the fish and chips which are hands down the best in the Twin Cities (in our humble opinion, of course). The fish and chips are fabulous - light, crispy morsels of deliciousness and not heavy or greasy as at some other places. They have a good selection of... More

We stopped in for a few drinks and appetizers. The food was good and beer was cold. It has a good atmosphere. The staff was okay, somewhat friendly. This is a good place to hang out, might not want to have dinner as it gets loud and crowded.

Even though we had just gotten out of a matinee at the Orpheum and the Twins game was also just ended, we were seated immediately in a corner room. The food and service were great. My husband and I both had the fish and chips which were excellent. The only thing I didn't care for was the table. It had... More

Went to The Local before a concert at The State Theater. Met two other couples. Great location and atmosphere. Very happy with our service. Food was very good and hot. Tasty original salad. The fish was HUGE!!
