Great atmosphere

After working late our group went to the Local Pub to eat (and others in my party to drink) We all enjoyed our meal and one of the others with me tried multiple different types of beers and drinks and enjoyed them all. The desserts were the perfect size and the chocolate smore cake was amazing... read more

I've read other reviews for the local. I must have missed something! I thought food was average at best. Had the steakhouse salad. Steak was ok. Maybe 2-3 ounces, more chopped celery than lettuce, not much blue cheese let alone dressing. Friend had ahi tuna. Was ok. Not good not bad. There are lots of places around, probably would not... Go for the beer, and you will also be pleasantly surprised with the food and service. Of course, not fine dining... it's a pub, after all, but hearty servings and quite tasty. Had the Reuben and I thought it was one of the better ones I've had. Loved the casual atmosphere. Our server was very knowledgeable about the beers, and... More

Not my usual kind of hangout, but I was very surprised at the quality of the pub food here. Great, fun vibe and lovely wood and etched glass surroundings. Loved their take on a quinoa salad and their scrumptious artichoke dip, served with chips and breads, and my friend raved about her burger. Excellent happy hour deals as well.

I was in town for 5 days for a convention and this place saved my sanity. Not only is the service great (!!) but there's an extensive beer list with lots of good local brews, and they even have vegan options on the menu (very rare in the land of dairy). I liked it so much the first time, I... More

We love to visit the Local every time we're in the area. They are a busy place so make reservations or expect to wait during peak times. The food is great. Lots of traditional Irish dishes. If you like a nice whiskey drink try the Big Ginger. Outside seating available.

Best bar/pub in the Twin Cities by far. Great building, really cool architecture and all that jazz. Coat hooks underneath the bar are fantastic. Great, friendly, fast, knowledgeable bartenders. The GOAT fish and chips are here. Never had a bad experience and have been a ton of times. Great place to watch soccer or any other sports really.

Enjoy the atmosphere in or outside. Burgers are delicious quite filling. Fun to sit outside to watch the pedal pubs go by. I recommend the local burger. Have also tried the walleye, mashed potatoes and gravy as well as the tomato soup and Rachel sandwich. All very good food and service.

The atmosphere of the place is so Irish that you feel uou are in Dublin (which I never visited!!) , the food was great, I had classic fish and chips (cod) , it was best quality and quantity, prices are rational.
