Definitely try the house Irish Cream!

The food was very good, the ambiance is cozy during the cold months, and we love their 2 Gingers Irish Whiskey, but the biggest reason I will go back is for their house made Irish Cream. It's wonderful!!! I got it as a desert drink, but i wish I would've ordered it sooner so I could have ordered... read more

Because of the fully sat outside tables every time I walked by, I figured I must try this spot. After a good night of eating and drinking, I needed some good pub food. The Local it was. The pub is split into two mirroring pubs. I figured this was because they could have two sides of fans at once during... More

It was our last night in Minneapolis after being in town for several days for an academic conference. My project partner and I decided to go out and enjoy the city that evening, and we eventually decided on going to The Local for dinner. I had recently returned from four months abroad in London (including a trip to Ireland) and... More

This pub has a few hits and misses. I really enjoyed the interior and all the small rooms. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable. The food came out very quickly. While the food came out quickly, it was lackluster, greasy and average, not at all worth the price. The place is also very loud, really hard to hear the... More

HUGE bar area and many tables. Great Irish food...especially the curry which is my favorite. Wide selection on European and domestic tap beer for every taste. Must check it out if in downtown Minneapolis.

Had a great weekday lunch. The menu had a great variety of food and the price was excellent for downtown Minneapolis. We sat at the bar and had excellent service!

The Local had a large number of people when my girlfriend and I visited - but it did not feel crowded to us and the server did an excellent job. We just had apps, drinks and conversation. Highly recommend their sausage rolls.

Good menu: quality ingredients and variety. Service was responsive and friendly. A little pricey fr what we got. I'd go back.

The Local is located in the heart of the busiest section of the Nicollet Mall. During the warm months, you can sit outside on the Mall. It features a wonderful wood bar, with attentive bartenders who genuinely take care of you. The food that I have tried is always delicious. My two favorites are the curried chicken and the fish...
