This place serves good food and drinks at reasonable prices. The staff are extremely friendly and efficient, there are plenty of choices of food and drinks, and a great atmosphere.

Six of us went here for breakfast and we all enjoyed the atmosphere and food. We had a great Irish breakfast and enjoyed the setting and décor. Apparently many of the items have been shipped here from Ireland, even our server spoke with an Irish accent. We were placed in an enclosed seating area which was nice so we could... More

When heading downtown Minneapolis, we always find our selves at The Local. From the delicious food to the variety of beers on tap, to their history with Two Gingers Irish Whiskey, it is always a stop on our list. Each time we are there we are blown away by the wonderful service. A friend and I were there again yesterday,... More

The Local is not much different than any other pub that advertizes itself as Irish. Granted, there are many decorations and details that try to create an Irish feel, but at the end of the day it's just another sports bar with some synthetic Irish favor. On the good side, you can catch some good rugby and football (i.e. soccer)... More

The charming and very Irish break up of the seating at the Local is a lot of fun. Although it's a large facility the partitions create many smaller, cozy seating areas that give it that very Irish pub feel. Service can be a bit sketchy... 3 hosts standing at the entrance and not 1 of them greeted us when we... More

I've never been here for a meal, but have had drinks here several times. The atmosphere is great. A bar runs all the way down the place, with bar seating on both sides of a dividing wall. There are also many side tables, as well as some more private side mini-rooms. Like any place downtown, The Local gets very busy.... More

We stopped in to the Local the other night looking for a drink and some bar food while in downtown Minneapolis. It was a Sunday night so we had no problem walking right in as downtown was like a ghost town. We found the Local to be both cozy and vibrant at the same time. There were folks cheering on... More

I love the Local and the staff are amazing! The food is of a bit higher quality at the Local than at Brit's, however, both are really fun spots. I really enjoy sitting at the bar in the Local and chatting with the bar tenders and enjoying a meal. In warm weather it is hard to beat the busy street... More
