This is a fabulous restaurant. I enjoyed this twice during our stay in Minneapolis. First, for beer & bar food. The second time was more of a meal with a large group. I had the Reuben for dinner and it was HUGE - and I ate the WHOLE thing because I simply had nowhere to keep the leftovers, so might... More

We went for lunch and we could not have picked a better place. The host Todd treated us with a warmth that you have with good friends and the server was outstanding. You have to have the pot roast sandwich and the tomato soup was fantastic. Prices were very reasonable as well.

The fish and chips were awesome! Went back to for a 2nd visit and had the buffalo burger. It was great. The atmosphere was just like a true English Pub. And for those annoying couples always making out in front of you, they can go to the "Kissing Room."

We visited on a sunny Sunday morning in September, perfect for outdoor brunch. We sat outside, of course, and the tables around us filled quickly. We ordered from the menu, although plates from the buffet looked good, too. If you know what black pudding is and you're a fan, I can give the Irish breakfast a solid recommendation. The American... Great food indoor and out experience. Great food and beverage selection. Like stepping out of Minneapolis and into my ancestors pub.

Thought it would be a typical bar but it was so much more. Great food and wonderful staff. We were told the woodwork and all the craftsmanship was done in Ireland, the individual pieces were shipped over for assembly.

Everything was great. We ate dinner and there was a short wait. Wish I got the bartender's name. Great guy. Very welcoming. He enjoyed giving us beer recommendations.

Busy and a bit noisy. Good food and fresh Guinness! The bar at late night is often standing room only. Friendly, upbeat staff.

First timer here. Great beer selection, I had a hard time deciding - a good problem to have. Interesting menu with nightly specials that we did order. Chipotle chicken mac n cheese was a tiny bit dry but flavor was great. Waitress was excellent: friendly, attentive, not annoying, understood what we wanted. Our party of 4 got an excellent both/table.... More

Since I work in downtown Minneapolis, my college-age daughter loves to have dinner downtown and chose The Local to celebrate her 20th birthday in August. The waitstaff was very attentive and accommodating, making sure we were well taken care of. The manager even stopped by to wish my daughter a great birthday, plus walked us out at the end of... More
