W e visited The Local on a beautiful July evening in Minneapolis. The outdoor seating was delightful with the great weather and the Irish beers on tap were well enjoyed. The food was good. Hearty portions and moderate prices. Service was good and very friendly.

This place has quite the atmosphere. After a long day at work our spirits were renewed with some good drinks and great food. It's a great place to catch up with your "grown up" friends. Looking for a nice quiet dinner this isn't your place but the food is divine. Try the pot roast...delish!

We dined here last evening. We started with cocktails. The 2 Gingers "Big Ginger" was awesome, I had to have two. My steak was delicious, even though it was slightly over cooked. My wife had the Rueben sandwich and was very pleased with it. We enjoyed the atmosphere as well. When downtown Minneapolis, I would recommend that you give this... More

We found The Local by chance. There is not a lot open at 11:30 on a Thursday night. We were seated and waited on promptly. It was pretty full and it offered a tremendous amount of people watching which was great. It opens your eyes if you live in rural anywhere....We ordered off the late night menu which offered everything... More

We were pleasantly surprised to so easily find this treasure! Craft beers, ciders, and daily happy hour running from about noon to 6 PM. Great outdoor seating, great service, great food. Highly recommended.

I had lunch here with a friend. We were promptly seated and greeted by our table server with a big smile. She explained a couple of the dishes to us and took our drink orders. My associate had a burger and he said it was great. I had a salad and it, too, was very good. It was more than... More

The good - cool & unique restaurant, decent service, organized, able to handle large groups, most in our group liked their meal. The bad - as stated in the title.... took a bite of the sandwich, found a screw in that bite. How does that happen??? and Shrimp Bruschetta made me sick... Restaurant emailed a survey to me, to which... More

We ate here twice while on our break in Minneapolis. The burgers were the best! And the waitress was super. She did such a good job of making us happy.

chaotic irish pub atmosphere - usually very crowded and high energy so don't go here if you are looking for a quiet evening; largest purveyor of Jameson in the world

This is an awesome drinking/food spot in the middle of the happening place in Minneapolis. Very good food (Burgers, Reubens) and a very good collection of specialty and craft brews.
