I went here for lunch with a friend and sat outside as it was a great day. The food was good - solid and reasonably priced - and the service was pretty good. The best part is that the windows on the entire east side of the restaurant were open, bringing the outdoors in. It's one of the more pleasant... More

The food at The Loring Pasta Bar is excellent! The Margherita cracker crust pizza (appetizer) had a crisp crust and perfect texture to the tomatoes. The Seafood (with black ink) spaghetti had plenty of tasty seafood - clams, muscles, shrimp and scallops. The saffron cream sauce was perfect. The Cheese Tortellini Nuovi - complete with prosciutto and pine nuts in... More

The marinara was mostly water, the carbonara was just alfredo sauce. On the other hand, Beer was good and there was a really hot blond waitress.

The atmosphere at this place is great fun. The music was live, and added a jazzy feel. Service was a bit slow, but the food itself was delicious. The tuna was made exactly as requested, as were all the other meals. Food presentation was excellent. Dessert, as advertised, was fabulous. This was especially true about the chocolate cake. Oddly however,... More

I had a good meal here: salmon and vegetables. This is a deliberately funky place that has its own charm. We ate outside which was fun. I did not have the past, but friends said it was good. I bet you'd like it! Try not to get a table on second floor because it's right over the grill and your... More

Recently visited Loring Pasta Bar for the first time, with a friend of mine. First off, I was extremely impressed with the layout, decor, and overall atmosphere of the restaurant. If you are looking for a fun, unique place to dine, this is for you. The inside is French-y/Italian with large clocks and vintage Italian posters to compliment their checkered... More

I didn't actually eat anything at this restaurant, but instead went to a black light salsa dance party. They hold salsa dancing here every Sunday night, and this was my first time, but I will certainly be back! The music was fantastic, there was plenty of space for dancing, and they draw a very large crowd so there are plenty... More

What a great venue! Multiple levels, dance floor with live music, open kitchen, and character galore! Prices are reasonable for the city, although portions are modest. Food quality was good, not great. Parking is a challenge in dinkytown. Had tango and samba music the night we were there. Very fun! Would go again for sure.

You will not be disappointed here. The food is all fantastic and reasonably priced. If you are looking for a beautiful restaurant to indulge in good food, this is the place. A meal that comes highly recommended is the BLT. It is covered in slightly spicy mayo with stacks of bacon, so good.

I have eaten inside a few times but really appreciate the outdoor seating on a beautiful fall day when everyone is returing to school. The seats are in pairs with the table inbetween. The servers are very professional. The food has always been awesome. Reservations are suggested at high traffic times. The look inside is spectacular. What a fun place.... More
