We started coming here before twins and wolves games because the food, service and prices are better than Keirans, Cowboy Jacks or Hubert's. Just have the where with all to go one more block. You won't be disappointed. I've had the burgers and the buffalo wings and thought they were very good.

The Loon has been there forever and it seems to keep on truckin personally I don't get it. I was told the ribs were their specialty they were okay in my book, but I would never get them again. Chili was tasty preferred that to the ribs. This is more of a saloon than an eatery and being near the... More

Within a couple of blocks from the Target Center and TD Ameritrade Park this restaurant provides great service and the chili and burgers are exceptional. Can't go wrong eating here before or after a game.

Friendly efficient service, good tasting food at reasonable prices in a convivial atmosphere without too much background noise. Seating in banquet style available for confidential chat. Great for a lunchtime meal with colleagues or on business.I'd certainly go again when in Minneapolis.

Visited after a long day of hockey and out for 2nd half of the football games. Had a bunch of drinks and some quick bites. Food was good (try the chili's). Surprising how empty it was for a holiday weekend Sunday Funday though, but that was most of the area.

Stop in for a few Grain Belts and a bowl of wild rice soup or some walleye and watch a hockey game! It doesn't get much more Minnesota than this unless you drill a hole in the ice. Friendly servers, fun times to be had. Easily accessible from the light rail if you're not driving. A downtown Mpls institution.

This place was a good neighborhood bar, even though it's in the thick of bar district and close to the Twins stadium. We were on a girls trip and were headed to Cowboy Jack's on a Saturday night for drinks when we decided to stop here for food. It's wood floors, crowded, noisy and a cozy place to stop when... More

Stopped by for a late dinner. Price was not bad for location and portions. Place was packed and we got good service which made it worth the stop. No complaints not the best but you know what you get when you walk in.

Nothing special about the place. Other places we stopped were big, like the loon; had tons of beers on tap, like the loon - but the two bartenders weren't particularly helpful or friendly. Pretty average place.

We used to live in the Twin Cities and in the late 80's and early 90's The Loon was a great bar to frequent-sadly when we visited with our kids recently on a trip back we were disappointed. First of all there was hardly anyone else in the bar on a Friday night-which seemed odd-Twins were in town. Chili was... More
