Good stuff, Maynard

Went to the Loon Cafe before a Timberwolves game in downtown Minneapolis. The place was busy but we waited only 30 seconds before getting a table. The waitress was efficient and we had our food in a decent time. The food was good. Ask for the chips, they are homemade kettle chips. Don't stick... read more

Stopped for appetizers and drinks and due to very slow service on getting drinks we skipped the appetizers and went elsewhere. It is a nice location and it appears it is quite large but they had the upper section roped off although the bar area was pretty crowded. Would advise opening the whole area up on a Friday evening and... More

What first...the terrible service from the waitress OR the food!!! The waitress recommended the brisket (which is smoked in-house)...worst brisket ever, very rubbery. You could get a better one from a fast-food joint. Now the waitress, she barely was around, never checked back with us on our food and you'd think she would have asked when we both only took... After a U of MN campus tour from my grandson we met his father for a quick lunch before he had to return to campus. The light rail system in Minneapolis makes that kind of outing easy and fun. We declined the tall chairs and tables and were seated in a comfortable booth, where the service was both quick and... More

I stopped in here before a concert and enjoyed some great boneless buffalo wings a delicious bowl of pecos chili and a couple glasses of beer. My chili was awesome while my friend got the veggie chili and couldn't finish it. I would not recommend it, it had a weird smoky taste and was just "off"... Maybe just a bad... More

Along the edge of the "warehouse district", these European or Canadian style pub and grille was astoundingly delicious food, pert service and excellent atmosphere. You can tell the clientele are most likely sports pub crawlers, but with class. Full menu of meals, sandwiches, appetizer's, desserts and specialized items. Feeling my Irish this trip, had a Jameson with a Reuben, prepared... More

Hubby and I stopped for a bite to eat after watching the Minnesota Twins play. We were looking for a place close to where we parked in Ramp B and that had outside seating. We walked to the cafe and looked at the menu. Lots of items to choose from--appetizers, salads, sandwiches, dinner entrees, chili and soups. We decided to... More

The food was good, the location is fantastic! The beer list was good, not fantastic, but not terrible. Like there was a good selection of beer, just not what I would expect at a location like this. The menu had a good amount to choose from and the veggie burger I had was great! I think they make their own?... More

Great place to relax and have a cocktail. Great atmosphere and it is as good as I remembered it. Good location for before or after basketball or baseball game.

Nice old style sports bar and eatery. We had the half sandwich and bowl of soup or chili and were filled. I had the pinto bean chili which was spectacular (just enough fire) any my wife had the chicken enchilada soup which was also very good. Sandwiches were ample. Lunch ran around $40 with tip (no alcohol).
