This place has a very long tradition in Minneapolis. Parking was a disaster but they were courteous and held our reservation even though we were 15 minutes late. Service was good and friendly. The food was average nothing out of the ordinary, large portions and price.

Omg the pig wings will make you come back from wherever your from. Forget happy hour the steaks, the seafood are not to be missed, plus the service is over the top. Just down the street from Target baseball stadium this place is not to be missed . Reminds me of top notch supper club from days gone by. Friendly... More

With a touch of 'Louisiana' style cuisine, this brunch was good, except for the meat. I was pleasantly surprised that it was all you can eat (non-buffet). The beignets was an 'attempt' at the oritingal. However, the ambience atmosphere wait staff and music (the best). The brunch consists of eggs, sausage, pork chops ham, and 'knot style' biscuits. Overall -... More

Been around forever and we finally tried it last night. Read all the great reviews and wish mine was better. I did like the atmosphere and the service was ok. Started with a drink and mine was filled with ice and very little liquor in it. Ordered the calamari and it was a huge portion, unfortunately it was bland, rubbery... More

We had a 15 member group reservation at a set time. Almost a third of the group was held up for 45 minutes past the scheduled time. NOT a problem for the staff. When the late attendees finally arrived, they were greeted as if they were early!! The staff never missed a beat on recommendations, service and overall fun. And... More

Dined at one of my old pre-kids haunts J D Hoyt's , and was pleased to see the food and service was as good as I remembered! Char grilled Cajun pork chops and lobster tails have always been the fare here and are still flying out of the kitchen. Speaking of flying, our server, who was fantastic, told us to... More

We were in Minneapolis for our Nephew's graduation from Law School and wanted a special dinner for our Saturday Night. We decided on JD Hoyts before we left home and for a party of 9 could only get 815 reservations a couple of weeks ahead - boy was it worth it! Really great service, great beer selection and awesome steaks.... More

I ate dinner here recently on a weeknight with a business associate. He had a small filet, I had the small cut of prime rib which, unfortunately, ended up being a very fatty, greasy rib steak. Our rice side dish was good as were the drinks and dessert. This was the first disappointing meal I have had at the restaurant... More
