I haven't been to JD Hoyt's in years. While a multitude of new restaurants have cropped up in the north loop, JD Hoyt's has been here for years and is still excellent. We had the pork chop, which was perfectly done. The TOB salad was excellent as was the wedge and the fries were crisp and hot. Service was outstanding.

We had one of the best steaks anywhere and the Caaesar salad was divine. Junior, the bartender, has a great sense of humor and took great care of us. They are only open for dinner (and Sunday brunch) but worth the trip.

Service, food and atmosphere is spot on. Steaks, scallops, and the famous one inch thick pork chops are the best! The entree can easily be split which allows each to get the salad and sides of their choice. The owner is always around visiting the tables thanking each and every one, these are the details that make one coming back... More

We visit JD Hoyt's regularly. You can't beat the food, prices and excellent staff. They have cigar dinners in the summer that are a lot of fun for your cigar lover.

Went there on the recommendation from a coworker but I was traveling to Minneapolis. This is a great place. Great atmosphere the wait staff was very friendly and most of all the food was awesome.had the famous pork chop with halfback of ribs and it was so good. A little on the expensive side but well worth the money.

My boyfriend and I went to JD Hoyts for dinner on a Friday night. We had reservations, and I would highly recommend getting them if you plan on dining here. I had the grilled lobster tail and he had the swordfish; both were fabulous. Their cheesy garlic bread is also to die for. We would go back here if we... More

Really good place. The ribs, steaks and pork chops were really good. Lots of choices. Share the sides; even the individual sides are large. Service was good and they get you in and out fairly quickly. Make sure you get reservations!

I like the variety J.D. Hoyt's offers. The menu has variety, the clientele is varied and so is the staff. Pat is "the glue" who just seems to happily keep it all running well and he seems to effortlessly turn customers into friends both new and old. I love the pork chops, the steaks are right up there and there's... More
