We get food catered from here a few times a year and always consistent over the 20 years I have gotten food from Pings. Like the fried rice and most every other dish. They can be a bit heavy with the dark sauces, but if you are ordering single meals, they should be able to accomodate you.

Been there several times never dissapointed. Location can be tricky if not familiar with the area, but worth the trouble.

I was in Minneapolis for a trade show. It was incredibly cold while I was there, most days well below zero. I am not a big fan of eating alone in restaurants and did not feel like venturing out downtown. I ordered take out from Pings. The food was very good, portions were generous and the delivery was quick and... More

Well we used to love Pings, would go with our grown kids for birthdays etc. Last night was a change. It was dead for a friday night, 3 tables and a man at the bar. The place which used to be trendy is now old and sad. The drinks were strong and good, but we waited 8 minutes to get... More

Easy walk from convention center. Lunch buffet was just okay. Price was right and food was cooked in small batches so it was fresh. Soda came in a can with a cup of ice.

I had not been to Ping's (or to MPLS) in nearly 10 years but was delighted to find that Pings is still fantastic. The food is the best chinese food I have had at any U.S. restaurant, and this includes San Francisco, where I go frequently. The service was very friendly and each and every dish was delicious and fully... More

The lunch buffet is excellent. Been here many times. One bothersome thing is the dirty ladies room. Makes me wonder what condition the kitchen is in.............

We were looking for something for dinner during our week long stay downtown and this was one of the restaurants listed on the hotel concierge list, figured it should be good the others we tried were. As we walked up only one other table had diners at it, and after they left a table for two was seated but that... More

The last night of our stay in MSP and we were looking for someplace downtown without a long wait, easy parking and good food. The hotel desk wasn't very helpful, but the bellman suggested Pings as that was his favorite restaurant. It was just far enough away from City Center that parking was no problem. It was not crowded and... More

Ping's has a very good lunch buffet during the week. They have a lot of varieties and the food is much better than you find in some of the "regular" Chinese buffet places. The cream cheese wontons have just enough filling and the shells are the best I've had.
