Buffet is wonderful

There are a lot of choices on the buffet, including dessert, which allows you to mix and match sauces and meats and basically customize your plate. It's not the fanciest dining area, but the food is great and our server was exceptionally polite.

We were visiting Minneapolis for the first time and we were walking downtown. We saw this Indian restaurant and want to try it. We were with our 19 month old baby and ask for a high chair after three times asking the waiters for it he finally said they had to go to a second floor to get it. So... More

I was on a business trip in a downtown hotel and this restaurant was recommended to me by the hotel’s concierge. As I did not have a car, I wanted an Indian restaurant that was within walking distance. I was not disappointed. The food was actually very good. The service was good and the staff was friendly. The ambience was... More

This restaurant specializes in southern Indian cooking. In the evening, it changes from a buffet based restaurant to a menu based dining experience with white tablecloths and my tonic for my gin & tonic served in a tiny carafe so I could pour it myself. Our server was so pleasant but we did struggle with some language barrier issues -... More

I'm not a vegetarian, but I could easily become one if every city had a Bombay Bistro. During a visit to Minneapolis, conference colleagues and I split some vegetarian dishes, including a chick pea dish, baingan bartha eggplant (which was accented with green peas and heavy on the cilantro), and a cauliflower dish. Get them all, and especially get the... More

I was staying at the Marquette in IDS Center which is next door. Really excellent Indian food which is hard to find. Good service, nice atmosphere. Recommended..

Pretty decent Indian food for downtown MPLS and good lunch buffet. The buffet doesn't really offer anything spicy, and it seems like many dishes are borderline bland, but you can easily get around this by adding some of their delicious condiments. The last time I went here was in Jan 2015, and I tried going in May 2015 but it... More

Bombay Bistro offers both South Indian and North Indian cuisine though south indian is offered only during lunch. The food is very tasty and the buffet has good varieties. The service is excellent. Had dinner one night and lunch the next day and had a good experience with satisfactory Indian food.

Service is poor, food is average, would not go back. Their Chinese fried rice was nothing but tomatoe rice. The chef needs to go back to India to learn how this is made. This include how to make parathas.

Went there and the place is pleasant, the appearance is not magnificent but is ok. Service was too bad as we order drinks, starters and menu and the drinks only arrived 20 minutes after. A bottle of beer 20 mins!!!! Then the employees look they were new, they did not know what to do or how to a normal restaurant... More
