Never had been to Milda's before though have heard about it for years. Three of us had breakfast and we were all pretty boring and ordered a very traditional breakfast--eggs, hash browns, toast and meat. We all had our eggs done differently and ordered different kinds meat of bread for our toast. All was done perfectly and promptly served. Great... More

Went for breakfast. Food was very good, reasonably priced, fine service. Friendly people. The entire restaurant was spotlessly clean. Definitely will go back.

Milda's is certainly an interesting experience, if not for the food then for the decor and mix of patrons. The food itself is pretty standard fare, but solid and good. The service was excellent and I felt as though the waitress had worked there for forty years. Milda's, while not exceptional by today's food standards, is definitely worth a visit.

I first learned about Milda's from the MSP magazine where the cafe was praised for their "Old School Eats." I decided to give it a try and met a friend there for breakfast. The menu made my decision difficult. I finally narrowed it down to a philly cheesesteak scramble or poached eggs, chicken andouille sausage, home fries with fried onions... More

I heard about Milda's from a co-worker, and went there for lunch today. Their pasties were delicious! (Pasties are like a potpie; they were popular lunches for loggers in Michigan's upper peninsula.) Others in my group enjoyed breakfast (served all day), burgers, soup, and the roast beef dinner. It all looked delicious, and was served quickly with friendly service. The... More

I've been going to Milda's for 30 years, when Milda was still alive. Her daughter, Jane, and her husband are keeping the tradition going. Milda's is the perfect cafe for a diverse, urban neighborhood. Try the pasties, their signature menu item. And the broasted chicken is great!

If you want some comfort food, go no further. Yesterday I had the Swedish Meatballs, "real" mashed potatoes, corn, fresh roll and tossed salad for $8,25. This is a cultural melting pot not to be missed. Yum! Yum!

I started going to Milda's in the 1970s, when it was located across the street at its original location. The food is traditional cafe food, freshly prepared on site. The prices can't be beat. (Just remember to bring cash, as they do not take plastic, and don't come on weekends, when they are closed). Every month a friend and I hie... More
