Happy Hour goes until 7pm

My first time eating sushi here even though I've lived in Mpls for 20 years. Food was great and happy hour prices make it affordable. Happy hour is in the bar only but goes until 7pm.

Very tasty sushi. Sushi is always expensive in Minneapolis but the quality of the fish makes Fuji Ya worth it. We also had flights of Sake, what a great way to taste 4 different kinds of Saki. Wonderful Happy Hour in Bar only. Get there early as the Bar fills up fast.

Recently, went to Fuji Ya at the start of happy hour. Sushi was fantastic, I also got chicken which wasn't all that good. Friendly waiter. Atmosphere was nice and silent for a good conversation with my girlfriend. Once again it was at the beginning of happy hour. We left around 545 on a tueday and, the tables were filling up... More

My husband and I use to go to Fuji-ya when it overlooked the River in Minneapolis, and always enjoyed the uniqueness of the atmosphere/ambiance. When our son, turning 22, said he wanted something "different" for his birthday dinner, I thought of Fuji-ya. Although now on Lake off Hennepin, we hoped it would still pack the same "flare" that we remembered.... More

The nearest ocean is over 1000 miles away and they serve you sea-food that they claim is fresh. Fuji Ya used to be a decent place. However, over hte years it's become a bit run-down. The owners are real Japanese and the chefs too so you do get some authentic sushi feel. since sushi places are a bit of rarity... More

This restaurant has been around for the past 60 years. Located in the uptown area of Minneapolis in a gentrified neighborhood full of upscale bars and a theater, it is delightful. Four sushi masters work in the front of this charming place with its light colors, bar and ample tables. In the rear are tables and comfortable booths in a... More

I stopped in with a friend after a few drinks at the Lyndale Tap House. I have been here several times and will say that their happy hours are an amazing value. I always struggle a bit when I get the bill and it is not happy hour, but the food is so good and they have amazing atmosphere. We... More

The service and atmosphere are wonderful and the sushi is always great. I tend to go more for the sashimi and nigiri rather than the rolls but their rolls are also fantastic. The sushi is always fresh and when they run out, they are out! This is not pulled from a freezer and then defrosted, this is all fresh fish.... More

Although Fuji Ya is always crowded - it's part of it's character. Last visit was middle of the week at peak dining hour - 6:45. We were told it would be an hour wait. We ordered wine and sat down right near the hostess desk at a waiting bench. The place was packed. Several people came in, heard the wait... More
