We went to Basil's which is located on the Third floor of the Marquette Hotel. We were met enthusiastically by the front of house hostess and were seated on the balcony overlooking the IDS court. (It did get warm as floor heaters were very close to your legs.) The wait staff was very attentive and helpful. The Basil's salad was... More

I ordered the "Artesian Omelet" and the flavors were a real wake up call. Only complaint I could think of is it was the size of half a loaf of bread. Too much food.

I had an excellent lunch at Basil's. It was affordable and 5 star in my book. The only downfall is that it is kind of laid back, I needed to get back to work, but the Waitress would did not give me my bill right away.

My wife and I went to Basil's for dinner one night. We were early in the evening so it was not crowded and our server was good at his job. We receive a complimentary taste appetizer from the restaurant which was thinly sliced apples with a little goat cheese and a drizzle of honey from their roof top. It was... More

We went to Basil's with a Groupon and enjoyed our dinner very much and our server was awesome. Their house cabernet was excellent and from our soup and salads to our entree, everything was delicious. They gave us a little appetizer (not included in our meal) that was dried apples, pears, goat cheese and honey from their rooftop and it... More

Tuna taco apps were enough for a light lunch and very good. They seemed understaffed so it took a bit too long to wait for service and food but when it arrived it was tasty.

Nothing special. Decent food but in this day and age where there are many wonderful restaurants I would not go there again. Very attentive service.

This upscale appearing restaurant really deliveries average business lunch fare. The waiter was attentive, and the food as described. The atrium view as pleasant.

My husband and I discovered basils through Groupon. It's on the third floor of a hotel. Small but nicely decorated. The filet with blueberry sauce was amazing. Cooked perfectly. The calamari appetizer was the best we've ever had with the roasted ginger and lemon. The chef there really know his or her stuff!!! The manager brought us a starter made... More
