Murray's was recommended to us by a local. The decor and vibe feels very 50's. You kind of expect to see Frank Sinatra or maybe a some crooked politician holding court. I enjoyed it a lot. The food was mostly excellent, from the bacon-wrapped scallops and escargot to the not-quite perfectly cooked steaks. Avoid the house "signature" desert.

What a great meal! Perfectly cooked filet great sides. The escargot was wonderful too. We also had a very special bottle of wine off their great wine list as a special treat. Our server was very nice also. Was a bit loud but it was very busy and we were there on a random tues night. All in all very... More

Upon arrival the overcrowded bar served us very average drinks before being seated in one of the smaller adjoining room/alcoves to the main dining room. The menu and feel here is very old school - but not in the good way - in the way of needing modernization. The escargot for starters were as they've been for 50 years, and... More

I love steakhouses. I have tried them in every major US city that I have visited. Manny's is THE best. My wife and I love to share the chopped salad. It is actually big enough for three people. The hash brown potatoes with bacon and cheese is sooooo good and big enough for four or five. All the sides are... More

Huge portions, perfectly prepared. Walleye big enough for 2. Hard to find a steak under 10 oz. We split and still had plenty. Tasty sides. Good service. Classic quiet ambiance.

My wife and I recently ate at Murray's for the first time. We found the service was very good and the steak was the best we have had. The atmosphere was lively on a Friday night but we sat in a quiet corner, which was nice. The inside is very much dated to the original 1940's, and not in a... More

Our much anticipated 35th Anniversary celebration dinner was a huge disappointment thanks to Murray's. The first strike was being seated at a very drafty booth. We asked to be moved out of the wind and were accomodated. We sat in Sid Hartman's booth, as noted by the plaque on the wall, which was food splattered and showed a few fingerprints.... More

This restaurant advertises itself as a traditional high end steak house that's been around for years. It does, in fact, feel like it's been around a while. It seems a bit worn out--in spite of what they claim is a recent remodeling. The newer steakhouses around (Burch comes to mind) are much more up to speed, with both presentation, as... More

This restaurant is a treat for anyone. The service is outstanding. The cocktails are great. The meals are just perfect...and if there is a question the staff is wonderful to answer. It is like a trip back in history to hear the stories about the restaurant. It is a MUST MEAL in MINNEAPOLIS!!!

It's all about the meat and service! Matt is a true professional. Service was impeccable. The 10 oz. Filet and the 10 oz. Manhattan were superb. All the sides were excellent. You must try this restaurant!
