We arrive on a Sunday night for an early dinner to a quiet restaurant. We were seated at a table for 4 in the middle of the restaurant with multiple quiet booths available for the 4 of us. Perhaps, that should have been an indicator to us about how the evening would transpire. Initially service was prompt and friendly but as... More

We had dinner there for our anniversary and everything was wonderful. Service is outstanding not to mention the food. We actually tried snails for the first time and now I love them. Would definitely go back.

The lady maitre d' in the afternoon apologized because walleye was not on the menu. She then proceeded to spend 10 minutes on the phone locating a restaurant that did have fresh walleye. We decided if the food and service were the equal of her attention, we should simply eat at Oceanaire. We did. It was.

Four diners with many different selections; all were excellent! Corn chowder, clam chowder, oysters on the half shell were enjoyed by us. Halibut, trout, stuffed trout, and Australian Barramundi were wonderful entrees. Baked Alaska topped it all off! Doug, our server, has been at the restaurant for 24 years and there are many reasons : first he is a true... More

The Oceanaire in downtown Minneapolis is one of My Favorite Restaurants for going on a Special Occasion. It has a Great Atmosphere and wonderful Food selection and we had a Fun Waiter and fun experience on our Anniversary! They brought us a Flaming Dessert for the table. It was Festive and Very Good. I love the "light" atmosphere and the... More

The food here is VERY good. The oysters are amazing. The service was great, wine was good, but I do think the prices are a little high, even for a luxury seafood place. Would likely not eat here again, but extremely happy I did once!

My wife and I have eaten at the Oceaniare several times in the past. The service and food have always been outstanding. Unfortunately this was not the case this time. Service was slow, we had to ask for our bread; my wife had to wait for over 10 minutes to get the waitresses attention to have her crab leg cracked... More

Made reservations and told them it was my birthday, menus said "happy birthday Michelle". Our waiter Ricardo was charming, considerate, professional, funny, engaging, informative, and so good at his job! Ricardo made our experience the best and we will definitely be going back there!

A key feature of a great dinner is the speed of service -- neither too fast or too slow. They hit it on the head. Good food quality. Would go again.
