The food was good...the pairing of the wine???????

We went to Oceanaire on Aug.20th for my husband's birthday. They had a special going on...a five course meal with wine pairing. I have to say that whoever did the pairing of the wine may need a few more lessons. We loved the food, the service, the ambiance, the willingness to make sure that our... read more

Haven't been to the Oceanaire since they moved 4 years ago. The place is large and nicely appointed. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The wine list is extensive enough to please everyone. The food was mediocre. The foie gras appetizer was miniscule. The scallops were over cooked. However, the grilled halibut was delicous. A mixed night for... More

My wife and I ordered Shrimp dynamite, and scallops. While we waited for our dinner the couple next to us were complaining about their food. It turned out to be the same meal I ordered. After over an hour of waiting for food it arrived. It was so spicy I had to scrape the dynamite off the shrimp. The server... More

Took an old friend and my parents here while in MN. The place looked like it would be fabulous!! It was!!! Restaurant was absolutely packed all night but our service and food came on time and prepared excellent. I am a chef and restaurant owner, this is a VERY GOOD restaurant, expensive but you get what you pay for.

Highly recommended! Everything is done well, atmosphere, service, presentation, food and portion size along with a good wine list and drink selection, but you will pay for it.

This was the second Oceanaire experience in 4 months for my wife and me; in April we dined at the eponymous sister location in San Diego. We found that one good but not great, and were happy that the Minneapolis location was a healthy cut above and as good or better than other downtown Minneapolis seafood eateries we tried. In... We arrived on time for our reservations and were told that they were running behind. The hostess was very nice, and we weren't worried about the wait. We were going out for my birthday, so we were not in a hurry - just wanted to enjoy the evening. There was no room at the bar, so we waited in the... More

the service was great at Oceanaire. Had King Crab legs, which were split by the server, then presented to me. My husband had the whole Maine lobster, which was also split by the server.. It was nice to have the items split for us. The creamed corn is outstanding!!!

I had the pleasure of eating here during restaurant week. A three course meal for $30? How could I go wrong. Crab cake to start => fantastic! It had crab! Not one of those pre-processed filler filled wanna be. To say it was great is an understatement. Then I had the Salmon for my entree. After the crab cake I... More

We dined in Friday, June 5, 2015 at 6:00 pm. We were seated promptly in a nice curved booth. Greeted quickly by our waiter and ordered drinks. As an appetizer I ordered the clam chowder. For my entree I ordered the very large lobster tail. My wife ordered a filet mignon. We shared cheesy au gratin potatoes. The clam chowder... More
