The menu selection at Oceanaire is wonderful and the seafood selection is just amazing. The fish is flown in fresh and the taste of the fresh fish is indescribable! You will not be disappointed no matter what you order and the service is just top notch. You just will not find a finer fish restaurant experience anywhere. Oceanaire has my... More

Minneapolis and Saint Paul may not be known for seafood, but I think the Oceanaire is one of the best of the local scene. The variety and quality of the food is excellent and you will find all of the usual seafood options here in classic form with a touch of inspiration, prepared and served to perfection. Of course that... More

I wish all Trip Advisors participants could afford this place. It's wonderful. If it's your birthday or anniversary, mention that in the beginning. A Saturday night dinner here was one of the best we've have in 40 years of marriage. Having visited dozens of restaurants in Mpls, I'd say the food, beautiful of the room and service place it in... We arrive on a Sunday night for an early dinner to a quiet restaurant. We were seated at a table for 4 in the middle of the restaurant with multiple quiet booths available for the 4 of us. Perhaps, that should have been an indicator to us about how the evening would transpire. Initially service was prompt and friendly but as... More

We had dinner there for our anniversary and everything was wonderful. Service is outstanding not to mention the food. We actually tried snails for the first time and now I love them. Would definitely go back.

The lady maitre d' in the afternoon apologized because walleye was not on the menu. She then proceeded to spend 10 minutes on the phone locating a restaurant that did have fresh walleye. We decided if the food and service were the equal of her attention, we should simply eat at Oceanaire. We did. It was.

Four diners with many different selections; all were excellent! Corn chowder, clam chowder, oysters on the half shell were enjoyed by us. Halibut, trout, stuffed trout, and Australian Barramundi were wonderful entrees. Baked Alaska topped it all off! Doug, our server, has been at the restaurant for 24 years and there are many reasons : first he is a true... More

The Oceanaire in downtown Minneapolis is one of My Favorite Restaurants for going on a Special Occasion. It has a Great Atmosphere and wonderful Food selection and we had a Fun Waiter and fun experience on our Anniversary! They brought us a Flaming Dessert for the table. It was Festive and Very Good. I love the "light" atmosphere and the... More
