You’d swear this place has been around since the '40s. A bar commands the narrow room flanked by booths and tables. Servers in coats, bartenders in jackets yet with a casual air that screams welcome. American classics; juicy hand-formed burgers. Lunchtime, a carver chef slices fresh roast beef and roast turkey for sandwiches. Small plates span America’s history; supper club shrimp cocktail up-to-the-minute items as tuna tataki, fresh guacamole prepared table side, fresh spring rolls stuffed with rice noodles, shrimp and holy basil. “Big Plates”; Fillet Oscar, homemade meat loaf, pork prime rib, house smoked ribs, all can include soup, salad, bread and a basket of plastic-wrapped crackers, just like in the old days. Ike's has a serious bar, strong drinks, vintage cocktails and ice cream drinks a good selection of beers and wines by the glass. Ike's is one of downtown's favorite; retro booths, antique wood bar, with a supper-club feel.

Great happy hour and breakfast!

Most people come here for lunch and dinner but we always visit for breakfast! Great Bloody's and really good food! It's usually not to busy at the breakfast hour and I've found meter parking almost always!

We ordered cheesecake at the bar and it came our super fast, and tasted delicious. The servers were also great. We want to come back again to try the burgers, they looked delicious.

Used to hit this place a lot for breakfast. Stopped going when we realized their prices kept increasing, but the quality was decreasing.

Very good burger choices, so our party of (5) found plenty to pick and choose from. They also have some nice appetizer selections, so it is well worth a visit.

Dropped in for drinks and dinner down the street from our Westin Hotel - tired and hungry but not terribly motivated. Pleasantly surprised to get a table for five, quick bar service, and no rush to order. The menu was varied enough to appeal to everyone, and we chatted amiably over drinks. Even with the other tables busy, we could... More

Had a wonderful steak and did not have to wait for a table. This place had a great atmosphere and we were pleasantly surprised at how good this was. We will stop again.

Great food, but slow / no service. Very few occupied tables and staff standing around, but hostess said she could not seat our group. We sat at bar with the very harried bartender who was excellent in handling the fully occupied bar area for both drinks and food. Excellent burger with mushrooms/Swiss cheese; fries too thin to eat.

We went to Ike's yesterday for brunch. I have been to ike's many times, but never for brunch. I have heard many good things from friends and customers of mine. Well, they did not disappoint. The eggs benedict was one of the best I have ever had. Everything was great...from service...hospitality ..management...Will be back soon.

Tis a grand day to fly from Vegas to Dayton via Minneapolis, and tis a grand day in Minneapolis. Dayton, well, not so much; however, there is no place like home. The Minneapolis International airport is one of the best in the nation. We like the mall, and the many decent "non-food court" restaurants. We are especially attracted to Ike's.... More

This is one of my favorite spots for downtown eating. Close to light rail, easy to get to. Took my Mom to the Macy's Flower Show and the restaurant is practically next door. Awesome burgers and great service. Ok yeah, the burger I had was $17, but you get massive amounts of fries and a side of coleslaw. Mom had... More
