Description: You’d swear this place has been around since the '40s. A bar commands the narrow room flanked by booths and tables. Servers in coats, bartenders in jackets yet with a casual air that screams welcome. American classics; juicy hand-formed burgers. Lunchtime, a carver chef slices fresh roast beef and roast turkey for sandwiches. Small plates span America’s history; supper club shrimp cocktail up-to-the-minute items as tuna tataki, fresh guacamole prepared table side, fresh spring rolls stuffed with rice noodles, shrimp and holy basil. “Big Plates”; Fillet Oscar, homemade meat loaf, pork prime rib, house smoked ribs, all can include soup, salad, bread and a basket of plastic-wrapped crackers, just like in the old days. Ike's has a serious bar, strong drinks, vintage cocktails and ice cream drinks a good selection of beers and wines by the glass. Ike's is one of downtown's favorite; retro booths, antique wood bar, with a supper-club feel.

My husband ordered the steak tip quesadilla (loads of flavor) very NICE! 1 of the BEST I have experienced I believe ever!!! I ordered the sage-pepper turkey dinner (server highly recommended) it was delicious! Moist turkey, gravy was perfect & the mash potato's were scrumptious. Love the interior decor and the layout is very cozy. Spacious! They have a really... More

We got there by 7:30pm and had no difficulty in settling 10 people. Were told to try on the burgers and so I did (a 10-oz Ike´s Roadhouse Burger), very tasteful indeed. Crispy onion straws were great. No regrets at all!

I called Ike's in downtown Minneapolis in search of a restaurant to accommodate a group of 17 for a reservation. Bill M. was very good to work with and helped us out. Our group had appetizers, a meal and dessert. The lettuce wraps were great as an app. I had the walleye for my meal, which was also great. A... More

stopped in for dinner with friends and we decided to order from the signature small plates and share. It turned out to be a great choice. We ordered the chicken satay, new Orleans shrimp, tenderloin quesadilla, BBQ rib sampler, and the chicken wings. Everything was excellent, but one item all four of us liked the best was the new Orleans... More

Surrounded by a great staff and a very professional owner. This place does the little things that nobody does anymore. If you drink bloody Mary's, this is the place for you. They are unbelievable. The food is well prepared, delicious and very affordable. I will return again and again and I will recommend it to everyone.

Billy is the waiter.... Met up with a friend who I have not seen in numerous year. Had some laughs but were told we were laughing too loud. Have you ever heard of anything like that? Then the people that complained actually ( they had a loud young child with them) apologized and bought us a drink. The waiter, Billy... More

Ike's Food and Cocktails opened promptly at 6:00AM; I could see the employees hustling at 5:45AM, and decided to wait. Others were making a beeline to nearby Starbucks. At 6:00AM, the manager appeared, and I am the first diner of July 4, 2014. I like a table in the “Fifties.” Johanna, my server supplied water, black coffee, and the menu.... More

We stopped here before heading to the theater. The drinks were tasty and the food was even better. Portions size was large as always, but presentation was pretty. The service was excellent and the location is very convenient to the theaters. Would definitely eat here again!
