Description: You’d swear this place has been around since the '40s. A bar commands the narrow room flanked by booths and tables. Servers in coats, bartenders in jackets yet with a casual air that screams welcome. American classics; juicy hand-formed burgers. Lunchtime, a carver chef slices fresh roast beef and roast turkey for sandwiches. Small plates span America’s history; supper club shrimp cocktail up-to-the-minute items as tuna tataki, fresh guacamole prepared table side, fresh spring rolls stuffed with rice noodles, shrimp and holy basil. “Big Plates”; Fillet Oscar, homemade meat loaf, pork prime rib, house smoked ribs, all can include soup, salad, bread and a basket of plastic-wrapped crackers, just like in the old days. Ike's has a serious bar, strong drinks, vintage cocktails and ice cream drinks a good selection of beers and wines by the glass. Ike's is one of downtown's favorite; retro booths, antique wood bar, with a supper-club feel.

We went to Ike's for a special occasion, so made a reservation ahead of time. When we arrived, no table was available, and we had to wait 15 minutes. Maybe there's something wrong with the acoustics, but it is just loud in there! Other diners, TVs, music, noisy. Also, we had a booth and there was a vent above our... More

cocktails and wine $3.50 during happy hour 3-6 M-F. I ordered the small plate steak sandwich. The buns were really dry with a very small slice of meat, lots of tasty fried onions and a dab of horseradish. Even at the discounted happy hour price, I over paid. The $3.50 glass of wine was a good bargain.

The wife and I stopped and had brunch there on Sunday and it was great. Big cinnamon rolls and lots of food, will definitely fill you up. Kind of costly for a breakfast but it's got a great atmosphere and all the wait staff are very friendly.

Ike's is far and away, the best food, best service, I have ever had. And, I have traveled extensively. The Sunday Brunch is fantastic! I have been to Ike's twice now, and it has been exceptional both times. It will be a must visit every time I am in the Twin Cities. And their Bloody Mary's! Amazing! I would love... More

Went here for Sunday Brunch before a Lynx play-off game. Close to Target Center and plenty of parking. Made reservations on-line but it wasn't clear to me what value or priority it added. Like most anyplace in MSP in the summer, if you don't smoke you don't want to sit outside because that is where all the smokers are. Brunch... More

Came for brunch on a Sunday on a recommendation from the concierge at our hotel. Walked in without a reservation on a day when the Twins played at home in the early afternoon. We told the host we were sent by our concierge and he was able to find 3 spots for us at the bar. Great atmosphere and food.... More

I ordered the sage-pepper turkey dinner (server highly recommended) it was delicious! Moist turkey, gravy was perfect & the mash potato's were scrumptious. We got there by 7:30pm and had no difficulty in settling 10 people. Were told to try on the burgers and so I did (a 10-oz Ike´s Roadhouse Burger), very tasteful indeed. Crispy onion straws were great. No regrets at all!
