You’d swear this place has been around since the '40s. A bar commands the narrow room flanked by booths and tables. Servers in coats, bartenders in jackets yet with a casual air that screams welcome. American classics; juicy hand-formed burgers. Lunchtime, a carver chef slices fresh roast beef and roast turkey for sandwiches. Small plates span America’s history; supper club shrimp cocktail up-to-the-minute items as tuna tataki, fresh guacamole prepared table side, fresh spring rolls stuffed with rice noodles, shrimp and holy basil. “Big Plates”; Fillet Oscar, homemade meat loaf, pork prime rib, house smoked ribs, all can include soup, salad, bread and a basket of plastic-wrapped crackers, just like in the old days. Ike's has a serious bar, strong drinks, vintage cocktails and ice cream drinks a good selection of beers and wines by the glass. Ike's is one of downtown's favorite; retro booths, antique wood bar, with a supper-club feel.

good service, interesting atmosphere

we had a wait between planes in the Minneapolis airport. Very welcoming atmosphere and staff. We had a layover in Minneapolis International Airport and looked for a good place to eat. Ike's was one of the recommendations of the information counter. We were glad we chose Ike's. The hamburger was a 12 oz with all the fixings so we decided to share it. It came with a full order of... More

My first time traveling through Minneapolis and I had a long layover. I don't recommend Ike's. It has a high class atmosphere but the food and service was poor, especially considering the price and expected quality. No complaints with the Salmon in the sandwich, but the toppings were stale, the fries cold and mushy, and the service was poor. Not... More

My wife and I opted for three small plates rather than entrees. The ribs were tasty but served cold although the plate was hot. The onion rings were over cooked. The sirloin quesadilla was very tasty. My wife's Margarita had two filbert/hazelnuts in it. Our server and the manager both said that was "a Midwestern thing." The decor and service... More

I absolutely love their patty melt and thin, crispy fries. Also, their strawberry shakes are hard to beat. I highly recommend this restaurant!

There is a restaurant and bar in San Francisco called Lefty O'douls. This place reminds me of Lefty’s in a good way. I like the old style charm this place oozes with its dark woods, booths and chairs. In the center, is the cook. Joy to watch him prepare the food – especially the aromas wafting to the patrons. I... Ike's has the best French toast and breakfast quesadilla's...EVER! Be prepared for a TON of great food! Great for sharing and the atmosphere is that of a swank supper club back in the day. You'll love it!

Most people come here for lunch and dinner but we always visit for breakfast! Great Bloody's and really good food! It's usually not to busy at the breakfast hour and I've found meter parking almost always!

We ordered cheesecake at the bar and it came our super fast, and tasted delicious. The servers were also great. We want to come back again to try the burgers, they looked delicious.

Used to hit this place a lot for breakfast. Stopped going when we realized their prices kept increasing, but the quality was decreasing.
