Description: You’d swear this place has been around since the '40s. A bar commands the narrow room flanked by booths and tables. Servers in coats, bartenders in jackets yet with a casual air that screams welcome. American classics; juicy hand-formed burgers. Lunchtime, a carver chef slices fresh roast beef and roast turkey for sandwiches. Small plates span America’s history; supper club shrimp cocktail up-to-the-minute items as tuna tataki, fresh guacamole prepared table side, fresh spring rolls stuffed with rice noodles, shrimp and holy basil. “Big Plates”; Fillet Oscar, homemade meat loaf, pork prime rib, house smoked ribs, all can include soup, salad, bread and a basket of plastic-wrapped crackers, just like in the old days. Ike's has a serious bar, strong drinks, vintage cocktails and ice cream drinks a good selection of beers and wines by the glass. Ike's is one of downtown's favorite; retro booths, antique wood bar, with a supper-club feel.

Large portions of home-made food! Definitely will return. Their helpings are large enough to take home an extra portion for the next day. I had the roast beef dinner and it was one of the best roast beef dinners I have had in a restaurant. Others had wonderful salads and other scrumptious entrees. Their French Silk pie is also delicious!... More

The steak burger is unbelievably good. Tasty and cooked to order. Lots of good options on menu, but I always seem to gravitate to the burgers. The bleu cheese burger is also terrific. A little pricey, but worth it. Excellent beers on tap. Worth the visit.

Great place to eat at the MSP airport. The center of the restaurant is a huge beautiful bar with the tables all around the outside of the bar. The burgers are great here. It's not that they have exotic toppings but the meat itself is flavorful and prepared expertly. I have also had good experiences at the Minneapolis location.

This restaurant has a unique Casablanca feel to it. It can also be described as a 40s or 50s style. They did a great job of sticking with this theme but not looking cheesy or overdoing it. The drinks and food is excellent. They have a carving station with several different meats that are carved as you order. The service... More

Lunch at the downtown Ike's (not the airport location I've also reviewed) today was very disappointing. I ordered the seafood salad that had a less than generous helping of seafood over mixed greens. Things started out okay, but about half-way through the salad I noticed that the bottom half of the salad bowl contained brown, slimy lettuce, which of course... More

We went to Ike's for a special occasion, so made a reservation ahead of time. When we arrived, no table was available, and we had to wait 15 minutes. Maybe there's something wrong with the acoustics, but it is just loud in there! Other diners, TVs, music, noisy. Also, we had a booth and there was a vent above our... More

cocktails and wine $3.50 during happy hour 3-6 M-F. I ordered the small plate steak sandwich. The buns were really dry with a very small slice of meat, lots of tasty fried onions and a dab of horseradish. Even at the discounted happy hour price, I over paid. The $3.50 glass of wine was a good bargain.

The wife and I stopped and had brunch there on Sunday and it was great. Big cinnamon rolls and lots of food, will definitely fill you up. Kind of costly for a breakfast but it's got a great atmosphere and all the wait staff are very friendly.
