Description: You’d swear this place has been around since the '40s. A bar commands the narrow room flanked by booths and tables. Servers in coats, bartenders in jackets yet with a casual air that screams welcome. American classics; juicy hand-formed burgers. Lunchtime, a carver chef slices fresh roast beef and roast turkey for sandwiches. Small plates span America’s history; supper club shrimp cocktail up-to-the-minute items as tuna tataki, fresh guacamole prepared table side, fresh spring rolls stuffed with rice noodles, shrimp and holy basil. “Big Plates”; Fillet Oscar, homemade meat loaf, pork prime rib, house smoked ribs, all can include soup, salad, bread and a basket of plastic-wrapped crackers, just like in the old days. Ike's has a serious bar, strong drinks, vintage cocktails and ice cream drinks a good selection of beers and wines by the glass. Ike's is one of downtown's favorite; retro booths, antique wood bar, with a supper-club feel.

stopped in for dinner with friends and we decided to order from the signature small plates and share. It turned out to be a great choice. We ordered the chicken satay, new Orleans shrimp, tenderloin quesadilla, BBQ rib sampler, and the chicken wings. Everything was excellent, but one item all four of us liked the best was the new Orleans... More

Surrounded by a great staff and a very professional owner. This place does the little things that nobody does anymore. If you drink bloody Mary's, this is the place for you. They are unbelievable. The food is well prepared, delicious and very affordable. I will return again and again and I will recommend it to everyone.

Billy is the waiter.... Met up with a friend who I have not seen in numerous year. Had some laughs but were told we were laughing too loud. Have you ever heard of anything like that? Then the people that complained actually ( they had a loud young child with them) apologized and bought us a drink. The waiter, Billy... More

Ike's Food and Cocktails opened promptly at 6:00AM; I could see the employees hustling at 5:45AM, and decided to wait. Others were making a beeline to nearby Starbucks. At 6:00AM, the manager appeared, and I am the first diner of July 4, 2014. I like a table in the “Fifties.” Johanna, my server supplied water, black coffee, and the menu.... More

We stopped here before heading to the theater. The drinks were tasty and the food was even better. Portions size was large as always, but presentation was pretty. The service was excellent and the location is very convenient to the theaters. Would definitely eat here again!

While you feel like you have returned to another era of dining establishment, Ike's also does a fine job of keeping relevant with menu items, cleanliness, and great staff! All servers and bartenders seem to really enjoy their job, which is a huge bonus when eating in the downtown area! Nice children s menu too!

I am a regular at Ike'a at MSP airport (in main mall - before 'D' gates) who serve amazing hand patted burgers. On this occasion I had Sunday brunch at the Ike's in town, and went for a Bloody Mary with a their signature brunch - eggs, pancakes, bacon and sausages - all you can eat. The best part is... More

We stopped in for our first visit to Ike's to get a late dinner last night. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees to share. The appetizer barbeque shrimp had a spicy/sweet glaze instead of the typical spicy butter bath and it worked. The portion was hearty and we sopped up every drop of the sauce with the toast points....
