My son and his girlfriend took my husband and myself there for Mother's Day. We had the three course tasting course which was just over $50 and paired it with the wine which I forgot how much that was. Needless to say, it is expensive, but the wait staff was very knowledgable about the wines, and... read more

Great service, nice atmosphere (though not fab). Menu is a little on the bewildering side: some combinations sound weird and unappealing. Luckily our server was able to describe every dish of interest in great detail and we enjoyed our food a lot. Cheese course was very disappointing: tiny portion and boring cheese. Wine pairing was nicely done.

Had one of my best meals in the Twins Cities here! Great atmosphere and fun service really completed the experience. Highly recommend!

My family and I had dinner here for my birthday. The service was great, and although the food takes a bit of time to arrive to the table, we were nibbling on the bread and crackers (really nice too!). I had the vegetarian tasting menu and really enjoyed it. I was pleasantly surprised by the Carolina grits, earthy and wonderful... More

Excellent food, very knowledgable and accommodating staff. ALL of the dishes are at least "very good," but some (e.g., smoked lamb; savory bread pudding) are both very good and very INTERESTING, which is what we look for in a place like this. We went very early, before the rush, and were able to stagger our tasting-menu items to share between... More

We had a fabulous meal from their tasting menu. For me the quail was particularly memorable. The baker/pastry chef is absolutely amazing. The breads at the start of the meal were so divine. The wine list is very interesting and the staff is happy to let you taste before committing to a glass.

Our meal at Restaurant Alma was one of the 5 best meals I've ever had! Chef Alex Roberts, who is very down to earth and very cool, suggested that we try the tasting menu with wine pairings and we were very glad we did. It was a spectacular experience. The food and the service were both near-perfect! And I tend... More

I went to dinner with my 10-year old. I ordered the roasted sweet potatoes & pears for her starter and she didn't like at all because it was cold. Our waitress noticed that she was playing with her food and asked if it was ok. When I explained the situation, she quickly took the appetizer back to the kitchen. I... More

This was our Valentines dinner and I can't express how disappointed I am to have spent $300 here. The food was inventive, good, maybe a little over seasoned or sauced on most items even. The seating was not comfortable or private in most spots, you are seated very close to other couples and the seating in on wood chairs or... More
