Nice place for a date night

This place is lovely, offering a 3 course price fix menu as well as an ability to order courses separately. One down side is that there is no parking lot where restaurant patrons can park, and looking for parking on a cold winter night is not always enjoyable.

We had reservations and did not have to wait when we arrived. The service was good. The food was okay. The prices were high and the portions were very small. Unless you are a very lite eater, plan on spending money on a second meal after you leave this restaurant. I wish that I would have asked my wife to... More

Great food, ambience, and service. The menu is 3 courses, and you get to choose 1 from a list: appetizer, first course, and second course. Sometimes the choices may not be what you are used to, such as rabbit, duck, etc. We had a group of 4 who ventured out to try new things and entrees. I would hope they... More

I heard of this little restaurant on University Ave in Minneapolis, I heard, " the guy that own Brasa owns Alma, I also heard that Alma had a very different menu! Well all these things were true:-) The first thing you notice, is a friendly waitress asking to take your coat, the next thing you notice, is the warmth that... More

Restaurant Alma was like being converted. I never thought of myself as a foodie, but eating here was an experience like no other. The tastes were divine and beyond attempts of description. They may say it's chicken ravioli, but taste combinations were sensational. It is pricey, but was so very worth it. I have never eaten such incredibly delicious food.... More

We went here for the first time tonight. The entire experience was very good. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. The dishes (we chose the 3 course option) were all quite food except for a few starters which were just OK. The duck two ways was superb. Nice wine list as well. The wine pairing was also very good.

Over the past several years, we've returned to Restaurant Alma several times each year - for special occasions (a frequent spot for my wife's birthday), events (e.g., TCF Stadium), or simply spur of the moment. It remains one of our favorite spots in the Twin Cities. The Place: Warm feel, with nice small tables along street side windows, tables along... More

Alma delivers on all fronts. Great service from start to finish. Excellent local farm to table food with a great 3 course pre fix menu. This place is worth checking out, the food is amazing! Great service, price and food

If you consider just the food (this is a restaurant after-all) Alma is my new favorite gourmet restaurant in the Twin Cities. Unfortunately the service doesn't match the food. The staff was friendly, but there where long pauses between courses, wine pairings coming out well before the course, etc. These may all be little things, but they are little things... More

RA is our favorite restaurant in the TCs. Even if I don't recognize an ingredient, I just trust them and go with it. This menu is very good. I started with roasted beets done Basque style. A nice variation and very tasty. Partner had the celery root soufflé which was outstanding. Second course was couscous and rabbit for me -... More
