Every few years, my husband and I splurge for dinner at a very nice restaurant with my sister and her husband. This year a coworker of hers recommended Restaurant Alma and all I can say is THANK YOU! The four of us ordered something different off each of the three courses and we all agreed to share, so we were... More

This is my second visit to Alma. This meal was equally as impressive as the first. The staff is knowledgeable and very pleasant. Our first waiter was Andrew Butterbrodt and this time our server was Scarlett both were wonderful and complimented the whole experience very enjoyable, and the meal was outstanding. The Culinary team in the kitchen does an outstanding... More

Four of us found this great restaurant for our last dinner in Minneapolis following a four day conference. A bit out of the way from our downtown hotels but worth the effort. Nice local vibe, welcoming staff, and exceptional meal. We all splurged on the tasting menus with wine pairings and it was worth every cent. Inventive but not pretentious... More

very good restaurant, but can get pricey quickly. very good wine list and staff is excellent. I would recommend sitting at the bar and getting the tasting menu (off menu). It's very fun to watch the kitchen as well. cheese plates are great and constantly changing.

Unbelievable food, beautiful atmosphere, excellent service. The menu from Alex Roberts changes seasonally and I've never had an average dish. His dishes are innovative without being pretentious, and the atmosphere is quiet and intimate, but not formal or stiff.

My daughter gave us a gift certificate to this restaurant, and it turned out to be one of the best meals we have ever had. It has a menu that offers 3 courses for $55 and you have many options in each category (desserts aren't included). When we expressed a concern that we doubted we could eat so much, the... More

Restaurant Alma is a casual, friendly place. If you are looking for great, locally sourced food, this is the best place in Minneapolis. If you are looking for a elegant, formal place, this is not for you. The wine list is eclectic but excellent.

This place is our new favorite! The food is absolutely amazing. The staff if warm and friendly. I also love that I even though it is a "foodie" place, it is not pretentious and very casual. We will be back.

Alma's signature is a three-course prixe fixe menu -- $55 when we were there. It's worth it. Our first course, a chilled corn-based soup, ended up being the best! We weren't as impressed with the other two choices, but I'm sure it all depends. Parking around there is easy, which is nice. The table server was very good and knowledgable.... More
