Pricey Lunch but Well Worth It!

I was in Minneapolis for a conference and I essentially ate my way through downtown. Zelo is the one restaurant that I will take the time to review. I went on a Tuesday. i used to love this place. I visit on business and Zelo has a great location downtown. What a disappointment tonight! Maybe the rest of the food is okay, but I'm having trouble understanding the allure of a turkey burger at $16 that is half the size of an $8 burger anywhere else. It was so runny that I had... More

Food and service truly were excellent and we will return again soon. The Brasiliana salad was amazing and our fish selections (salmon, sea bass) just as amazing. We went on a Sunday evening so the restaurant wasn't as crowded as a Friday or Saturday. The other thing we really liked was the ability to hear each other talk--too many restaurants... More

The waitstaff was outstanding--friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about the food choices. I went here twice during my stay and was not disappointed. The salads are creative and dressed lightly. The entrees were varied but mostly Italian themed.

My wife and I decided to have lunch here after a Minnesota Orchestra 'Coffee Concert'. I had read the Trip Advisor reviews prior to coming here which convinced me to give it a try. We were highly satisfied with our experience and Zelo is now our 'new favorite' for lunch on the Nicolet Mall. The staff was friendly and we... More

We ate here recently before a concert at the Target Center. I had the ravioli and other members of the party had the lasagna and pork chop. All of the meals were a hit. The bread is delicious. The calamari was average. We also ordered drinks and were pleasantly surprised by the grapefruit martini and the strawberry margarita. The service... More

Had their Sea Bass tonight for the first time and it was fantastic. The waiter was honest, friendly and provided great recommendations. Give it a try.

Zelo is a big, attractive downtown Minneapolis restaurant. Often categorized as Italian, it has a varied yet limited menu with only a few Italian items. No problem. Out to celebrate a birthday we were pumped to visit this often-touted spot. We got off to a bad start with the Caesar and romaine and blue cheese salads, both of which had... More

Zelo has both a sitdown restaurant as well as 'fast-food-to-go' separate from the actual restaurant. Soups are homemade and SO delicious, sliced sourdough bread is fresh and chewy, and homemade peanut butter cookies are TO DIE FOR and as big as your face. Well worth standing in line, as it tends to get very busy during the weekday lunch hour.
