Been taking my wife there for our anniversary dinner for over 20 years. Piano bar, polka bar, great food, great cocktails, great service! We'll be going back again this year.

I have been here for large celebrations and intimate meals. The look is 1960 and the carpeting is not much newer. The person seating us had been at this job way too long. I guess she fits in with the look of the place. The polka bar is small and fun to walk through, after that moment, there is nothing... More

Restaurants generally fall into two categories...new and hip, or established and classic. At Nye's Polonaise Room you are unlikely to find any more classic dining establishment in Minneapolis or America, for that fact. Nye's is a cultural experience. Where else can the tinkling of the ivories at the piano bar with its Broadway-wannabe singers compete with a polka band in... More

Nye's Polonaise gives you a some great polish food and the atmosphere is awesome. My family and I shared the Nye's plate and saved some money. It had pierogis, cabbage rolls, spare ribs, polish sausage, sauerkraut and potato dumpling. It was worth it because we all walked way stuffed. The piano man was playing and in the bar they had... The food was good--I really liked the prune perogies and the sauerkraut--and the atmosphere was cool; everything original from the 60s. The place is huge. If I lived closer I would rent a party room here for every and any occasion I could think of.

We ordered the prime rib sandwich that was on Triple D and the POLONAISE PLATE. It was enough food for 4 people, but we wanted to try several things. The sandwich was good, but the polonaise plate was really good! Their saurkraut was probably the best I have ever had. The perogies were the best I have had without a... More

Went there a week ago to celebrate my 25th birthday. I made reservations a week before and had no problems getting a table for 6. The atmosphere was so much fun, but a little loud with the polka bar right through the door. The food was AMAZING, but expensive. It is definitely a special occasion restaurant, but a great experience.... More

Between the food, the kitschy 1960's booths, the food, the piano bar and the nearby Polka Bar, a good time is always waiting for you at Nye's. Love it here!

Went there with hubby to celebrate my birthday a few days early and so glad we did!! It was THE MOST EXPENSIVE restaurant bill we have ever had - BUT so worth every penny. The ambiance is outstanding -- cloth napkins, candle light, etc. Very relaxing chairs, buzzing with talk but we could actually hear our conversation. Server was superb,... More
