Nostalgic trip back in time

We had to go to Nye's one more time before they close their doors. Not because of the food (though none of us complained at our choices), but because we are all of the age that we remember the old supper clubs and this is one of the last of its kind. Be warned: if you are also "of the... read more

If you love Polish food and you love the movie 'Goodfellas", GO HERE! Seriously, the decor, the lighting, everything about the ambiance screams throwback gangster days, but you'll LOVE it! The food was delicious. The cabbage rolls were especially tasty. The only thing I didn't really enjoy was the coffee after dinner. It was bitter and not at all what... More

Went to Nyes for dinner here because it was my parents favorites! My father died last Sept. And they are closing. We had soup, polish sausage soup great, Cajun Prime Cajun soup not so much. Vegetable tray great. Ordered Cabbage Rolls, dry, no flavor. Mashed potatoes great, Au Gratin nope!

Nye's Polonaise Room was our first foray into genuine Polish cuisine and we loved it! We started of with what I believe they called the Polonaise Sampler. The cabbage rolls were definitely my favorites after being the item I was most apprehensive about! The Perogies were very tasty as well, the Polish Sausage and Sauerkraut were fantastic. The Mrs was... More

we decided to pay homage to the place one last time. For a summer Saturday night around 6 we thought we'd have to wait awhile but we were seated almost immediately. The waitress was too cool for school and said she just started working there. She was nothing special but we didn't wait long for drinks and food. The cabbage... More

This restaurant, that supposedly specializes in Polish dishes, was highly recommended by Diners, Drive-ins and Dives on the Food Network, but I do not know why. We ordered peirogies, one of the featured items on the tv show, that had a tough, thick dough covering that should have come with a steak knife to saw it open. The potato cheese... More

This place is a blast for everyone. i didn't eat here but the other patrons said the food was good. The atmosphere is fantastic with a great mix of young to very old. The loyal staff were great. The Polka Band delivers an unforgettable performance.

Ever since Nye's announced it is closing, the place is packed. Traditional Polish food in huge helpings. The prime rib was tasty and so was the Polish sausage and sauerkraut. Friendly people, good full service bar.

It was a crowded, standing room only on a Saturday night and I am amazed at the friendly attitude and helpfulness of the stressed staff. Better, the new menu was awesome.. one of the best steaks we ever had... and the Ribs were great. OF course we thought of Perogi and cabbage but this place is still amazing..> And parking... More
