Polish food at its best.

If you like Polish food and if you are in Twin Cities. This is the place not to miss. Pirogi was my favorite.

Ever since Nye's announced it is closing, the place is packed. Traditional Polish food in huge helpings. The prime rib was tasty and so was the Polish sausage and sauerkraut. Friendly people, good full service bar.

It was a crowded, standing room only on a Saturday night and I am amazed at the friendly attitude and helpfulness of the stressed staff. Better, the new menu was awesome.. one of the best steaks we ever had... and the Ribs were great. OF course we thought of Perogi and cabbage but this place is still amazing..> And parking... More

This was our first trip to Nye's and definitely our last! Our entree was overpriced for what we got. If I am paying over $20 for an entree I expect the flavor and quality to match the price. I shared one of the traditional Polish meals with my husband and we got a good two cups of sauerkraut on our... More

The server was young and not particularly helpful. My wife and I got deep fried Pirogies for an appetizer and decided to share a main course of Polish Samplers. We also got a cup of Shrimp Chowder. The appetizer was ok, the Shrimp Chowder had no shrimp (and when I told the waitress that, she just insisted it had sausage.... More

We all know Nye's is closing-but they aren't closing until Late summer 2015! I used to love Nye's, as recently as three months ago, but now my advice would be to stay away from this old, mean, stubborn, about-to-die place. For my husband's birthday, we watched one table cycle thourgh two different parties of ten, and we hadn't even gotten... More

Since Nye's is closing in Aug. 2015 a group of friends made plans for dinner on Jan 17. My party of six was seated right away at our reserved 8pm slot. Our waitress was new as many of them are since the "life timers" have quit or retired since Nye's is closing. The food was average, service slow and vintage... More

We were visiting Minneapolis to attend a University of Minneapolis Gophers game-which was a blast. We finished our day visiting Nye's. There are 2 sides-piano side and polka side. We stayed on the polka bar side and had so much fun. Loved the atmosphere, the beer, people and particularly the polka band. I would go back in a heart beat.... More

We went here for my mom's birthday on a Wednesday night. While Nye's has been around for many years, I had never eaten at it. My mom had visited a number of times years ago... so it was time to go. Nye's is scheduled to be torn down... if the owners get their way in a fight with neighborhood historians...... More

Went there Saturday night for my birthday "night-cap". It was SUPER crowded. We went to the bar and couldn't move. Had a vodka & tonic - just under $7 and then the bartender took the extra change - so $10. Not impressed with that, at all. Anyway, the best part was the 3-piece polka band - old-school and fun. Just... More
