An iconic place, but it is closing soon

This place has been around for a long time. We thought we should go before it closes. It has a small bar and several dining areas. Live music happens in the evenings. Prime rib, fish, and Polish foods. If you can make it before it closes, you should try. It is not fancy, but it has... read more

We have been wanting to come here for years and finally decided to visit before it is gone forever. What a place. Very old school with padded booths, old style dim lighting and lots of noise. Our server was fantastic, everything we ordered or asked about came with a story. She was so much fun to listen to. Food was... More

Nyes is a throwback, crowded with a friendly crowd, friendly bartenders and live music. I would come here more for entertainment value than food, quality drinks etc. it's about to close permanently so go soon just to experience it.

Sadly Nye's is scheduled to close on day soon. It will be a real loss to the neighborhood and the city. Nye's has been part of my family for most of my life. My parents used to bring me to Nye's when I was little. The great thing is, there has been little change. Not only does one get to... More

The best meal ever, the BEST server ever. Roxanne! Ask for her when you make your reservation. Great prime rib dinner. Great ribs. Great sauerkraut. Great EVERYTHING. Get there before they close for business April 3, 2016. Stay for the piano bar 8:30 PM, but make reservations in advance. An old-fashioned, 65 year-old-establishment with old-fashioned ambiance and service, great food... More

Had reservations for a table for 8 on a Saturday night at 8pm. The entire restaurant was completely packed. Sat in the bar for 30-45 minutes waiting for our table and once seated waitress came over right away and took our drink and appetizer orders. Server soon came back and took our dinner order. Food took about an hour to... More

We took the grandkids to lunch at Nye's since they will be closing in April. We wanted to make sure they had an opportunity to experience this historic restaurant before it closed. It lived up to our expectations, and we had a great meal sharing a lot of the food. Glad we had this opportunity.

Have been going here for special occasions my entire life. Kind of sad too go and line the pockets of the ownership who is selling out to developers but cannot make myself stay away. So much fun. Oh and the foods not bad either

What a place. History is alive, but apparently not for long. Squeezed in on New Years Eve, had a couple great Polish beer, a fabulous prime rib dinner, then got to see the famous "worlds most dangerous polka band". Just remarkable, so happy I got to see it all. Food great, beer unique, and the entertainment, memorable! Go while you... More

Took the family there for the last time. My children and my grandchildren all wanted to go. Service was great, food was great, same old restaurant, same great place. We will all miss the nostalgic bar and restaurant. If they rebuild, I don't think it will have the same ambiance. Thank Al Nye, will always remember you.
