I went with a few friends. They wanted us to sit in the bar area by the front door on a very cold afternoon unless we ordered dinner. We decided to get dinner an were seated as requested. The server was very nice and helpful; the food just so- so. They were the worst scalloped potatoes I have had but... More

We have many old memories from Nye's, a great meeting place. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and talking with the bartenders, and are planning to go back again soon.

The restaurant was running a bit behind which was fine. We were in no hurry and I'd eaten here once before and was eager for my husband to try. We weren't disappointed. My husband can put it away and even he couldn't finish his Polish platter. Our favorite were the cabbage rolls. I had the beef short ribs for the... More

Wow! What an awesome place! We drank cheap beers and sang old songs at the piano bar. At one point, a bunch of people showed up and started swing dancing. Perfectly preserved and maintained. I don't think I've ever seen so much vintage character stuffed into one place. Next door to the dining room is a dingy dive bar where... More

I went with a group and our opinions differ. I HATED this bar. Is was loud and dirty. The band playing sounded like a bunch of cats in a washing machine Drinks were strong and the very old retro design was kind of cool.

Decor from the time of the rat pack. Polish food was excellent. Service not the greatest. Desserts were very good. Piano bar and live entertainment. Waitress was not very friendly. Food 5 star. Service brought the score down to a 3.

Great place for real Polish food. It's like stepping back to the 50s. The décor was reminiscent of 50s lounge. We were waiting for the Russian Mafia to come in. (Just kidding.) Great cabbage rolls. They even have a piano bar where they let you sing with the piano player. If you like to have fun you've got to go... More

My wife an I returned to Minneapolis to visit family and decided to take a Saturday and tour all the old Classic Minneapolis Bars and Restaurants we knew of as kids. We walked into Nye's Polonaise Room in the afternoon for happy hour and sat at the Bar. Our parents use to hang out an dine here. We got to... More

I went here on a Saturday night with a friend. We got reservations at 7:45 in the room where they have the polka music, which started at 8:30. First impression was that you were stepping back in time to a lounge from the 50s or 60s, which I found to be fun. We sat in the room where they have... More

Took a friend her for a unique birthday celebration. Loved the polish food, specialty beer, piano bar and polka lounge. We did it all!
