Great place for real Polish food. It's like stepping back to the 50s. The décor was reminiscent of 50s lounge. We were waiting for the Russian Mafia to come in. (Just kidding.) Great cabbage rolls. They even have a piano bar where they let you sing with the piano player. If you like to have fun you've got to go... More

My wife an I returned to Minneapolis to visit family and decided to take a Saturday and tour all the old Classic Minneapolis Bars and Restaurants we knew of as kids. We walked into Nye's Polonaise Room in the afternoon for happy hour and sat at the Bar. Our parents use to hang out an dine here. We got to... More

I went here on a Saturday night with a friend. We got reservations at 7:45 in the room where they have the polka music, which started at 8:30. First impression was that you were stepping back in time to a lounge from the 50s or 60s, which I found to be fun. We sat in the room where they have... More

Took a friend her for a unique birthday celebration. Loved the polish food, specialty beer, piano bar and polka lounge. We did it all!

We were informed that Nye's was the place to visit and that it's an experience all on its own. I was transported in time with the piano bar and polka band! The ambiance of the bar/restaurant was lively especially with the karaoke in the background. The age group ranged from 20s-80s! Very eclectic group but nonetheless I had a blast!... More

I was in town for business and Nyes was recomended as a must. They were right. I visited on a Tuesday so there was no entertainment, but looking around at all the vintage decor was just as good. The multicolored glass lights compliment the gold flake pleather seats quite nicely. The food is awesome. I ordered the appetizer sampler as... More

What's not to love about a place that doesn't try to be anything it's not? An old school, red-vinyl boothed restaurant, polka music, cheap drinks and lard-ridden Polish delicacies. Come for dinner, sing a song at the piano karaoke, then go grab a cheap drink and dance with the polka band.

A true throwback. Nye's was a highlight of our friends weekend in MSP. I can not tell you how good the food was as I am not an expert on Polish food, however, I will say that the atmosphere is outstanding and the crowd that gathers at Nye's is not to be missed. Nye's is located in a happening part... More

This is the land that time forgot. The booths with sparkling red Naugahyde, the carpeting and dark windowless room all make this feel like you are stepping back in time. The service was great and the food good but not fabulous. Their menu could be updated but do not touch the place. There is a music venue next to the... More

The polka bar was a fun night on the town. The music was lively and the selection of drinks was good. However, the food in the restaurant was lacking. There are hardly any vegetarian options, and most everything is deep fried. The perogies were nothing like homemade perogies; I was disappointed. I recommend visiting for the music, after you have...
