One of the best Italian Restaurants in MPLS

This is a little gem in south Minneapolis. It is a very quaint place. The atmosphere is great. The main restaurant is small so you may have to wait a bit to get a table. This is in the top 2 Italian places in Minnesota. Its very similar to real Italian food. Everyone needs to try this place.

Went to Broders' for our 3rd wedding anniversary, and it was a great experience. Would recommend sitting at the bar - it was cool to see into the kitchen and the bartender/server was friendly/helpful with suggestions. We ordered the olive ripiene and aglio arrosto to start; the fried olives were my favorite - very salty and great with a cocktail.... More

Authentic Italian atmosphere and dishes. A fun place to grab a bite to eat and while you're at it, stop across the street at Broder's deli and pick up some good to take home!

I have long searched for the best Italian food in Minneapolis and have often been disappointed by the likes of Maggiano's (RIP), Vescio's, and others. I have been going to Broder's cafe across the street for many years, but the gourmet menu of Broders' intimidated me for many years. Yesterday I finally checked it out, and am already planning on... Friendly staff, knowledgeable servers, and delicious, perfectly prepared house-made pasta! We were there right before the doors opened on a Saturday. (There were already about 15 people waiting outside when we pulled in to the parking lot). We were seated at the bar to watch all the action. Our server was very kind/friendly and had great suggestions for us. By... More

Tiny little Pasta place with a ton of atmosphere and great food. Go early as it is a wait to get in but they have a cute little wine bar in the hallway and you get a chance to talk to new people. Waiter was very knowledgeable of their foods and made great recommendations. Beautiful gardens in the front sporting... More

We went to Broders for our anniversary and were not disappointed. We had wine and nuts while we waited and sat at a bustling bar (it's a pasta bar, right?). Service was fast and friend and the food is richly out of this world. It has been a couple years since we went and good to know that it only... More

Whether you are a local or from out of town, don't miss this gem. The pasta is outstanding! Excellent wines to boot. Get there by 4:30 or plan for a wait. If you need to wait, go to Terzos Wine Bar next door, also owned by Broders and boasting the best Italian wine selection in the metro. We agree!

We had heard a lot of rave reviews of this place from our friends. Driven by it a few times and it always looked so busy but finally one saturday afternoon we were in the area and decided to try and catch this place as it opened up. We got there about 5 minutes before they opened and there was... More

They have a unique business model: you wait over an hour (if you are lucky) for average (at best) food. Almost any other Italian restaurant in Minneapolis that we have visited is better by far.
