Great venue. Great menu

We visited Icehouse on a Sunday night for an early music set and dinner. We enjoyed the Korean fried cauliflower with kimchi and a side of Brussels sprouts. Both flavorful and culinary. Service was a bit slow but can appreciate the challenges of waiting table during a music set.

I am craving a return to Icehouse after enjoying a fab dinner there last Tuesday evening. The "lemon custard" far exceeded its name in interest, texture and creativity. It was a mini mason jar filled with custard on the bottom, but piled on top was a mint cake crumbled, a streusel crunchy topping, and little mini scoops of a rhubard... More

My wife and I fell in love with this newer restaurant on Nicollet's Eat Street. They had a blues band playing live music for brunch, which set the right mood. We were seated right away and had the fantastic brisket hash and Bloody Homers (thick Bloody Mary w/ mini bacon donut and bacon slice). Icehouse is set in an older... More

My wife and I heard the burger at Icehouse was worth a visit so we decided to check it out this past week. We liked the atmosphere though could see this place getting quite loud with a full house. The beer selection was a little disappointing. This is not a place that's all about local craft beers (only one IPA... More

Typically for my birthday dinner we try to find an interesting meal around town. Tasting menus are a great way to try a variety of small plates in one trip to a restaurant and we had heard that Icehouse had a nice one. The Chef's Bar is facing the kitchen near the back of the restaurant. There is a bank... More

Three hours for six people to eat? Very, very poor service. Good appetizers. My catalan stew was excellent. My wife, who never returns anything, sent back the pork shank (which wasn't a shank but ground up something). The flourless torte was good. They wouldn't let us sit on the porch, six people was too much for them to handle on... More

We decided to try Icehouse on a last minute double date with some of our closest friends. We were expecting your typical bar food, but we were pleasantly surprised to see a very unique and unusual menu - fine dining in a casual atmosphere and live music. Our server was very knowledgeable about all the ingredients of each item and... More

On the recommendation of a friend we decided to try Icehouse on a rainy Friday night. Big mistake as there was no parking within 2 blocks so we ended up arriving late and wet. The ambiance is definitely for the younger crowd but the service was very competent. The menu descriptions were over wrought with too many ingredients/tastes/layers and the... More

Not only is Icehouse phenomenal for food, it is also a great place for drinks. They do a great job getting bands to play on almost every day of the weekend, I highly recommend going.

We had a big corporate event and had 100 plus people, along with a few musicians. I couldn't have the buffet because I am gluten free, so special ordered a salad and scallops, which were outstanding. Great stage and smaller venue for seeing music - looking forward to coming back for dinner on a Saturday night when they have jazz.... More
