Chef's Tasting Menu is the way to go!

Typically for my birthday dinner we try to find an interesting meal around town. Tasting menus are a great way to try a variety of small plates in one trip to a restaurant and we had heard that Icehouse had a nice one. The Chef's Bar is facing the kitchen near the back of the restaurant. There... read more

Three hours for six people to eat? Very, very poor service. Good appetizers. My catalan stew was excellent. My wife, who never returns anything, sent back the pork shank (which wasn't a shank but ground up something). The flourless torte was good. They wouldn't let us sit on the porch, six people was too much for them to handle on... More

We decided to try Icehouse on a last minute double date with some of our closest friends. We were expecting your typical bar food, but we were pleasantly surprised to see a very unique and unusual menu - fine dining in a casual atmosphere and live music. Our server was very knowledgeable about all the ingredients of each item and... More

On the recommendation of a friend we decided to try Icehouse on a rainy Friday night. Big mistake as there was no parking within 2 blocks so we ended up arriving late and wet. The ambiance is definitely for the younger crowd but the service was very competent. The menu descriptions were over wrought with too many ingredients/tastes/layers and the... More

Not only is Icehouse phenomenal for food, it is also a great place for drinks. They do a great job getting bands to play on almost every day of the weekend, I highly recommend going.

We had a big corporate event and had 100 plus people, along with a few musicians. I couldn't have the buffet because I am gluten free, so special ordered a salad and scallops, which were outstanding. Great stage and smaller venue for seeing music - looking forward to coming back for dinner on a Saturday night when they have jazz.... More

Came here for a weekday lunch with a group of coworkers. Staff gracious about waiting for our group to arrive over a half hour or so. Server very helpful in explaining menu items and in making modifications to orders. I had the crispy tofu with vegetables, which was excellent (although not a large serving). Others in our group enjoyed the... More

The Icehouse restaurant, as its name implies, is a renovated old block ice storage warehouse. The rehab and decor make the atmosphere upscale and pleasantly funky. The menu includes some unique offerings which is always fun. The portions are mostly tapa sized, but not unreasonably priced. Our server was efficient and cordial. Live music was very good (but, alas, there... More

We tried to reserve a table to be told "we don't do this". Arrived at the restaurant. Paid our $10 cover like all the other patrons and then walked into 5 "reserved signs" of tables we were not allowed to sit at. When one of the reserved signs were removed we sat down. Only to be yelled at by a... More
