My hubby and I went to Icehouse for date night as we were looking for a good restaurant that was close to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. I did some research and found this restaurant that received great reviews for its food and ambience. The restaurants had three distinct areas for dining - one that has tables closer to the... More

The place has a nice environment for live music and for dining. The menu is wide so there is something for just about everyone. Cocktails are good and has a nice selection of local beers on draft. Wait staff was very good and attentive. But at the end of the day it was the food, fantastic. I will be back.

Dined here with 3 friends. Drinks were good, but none of us liked the specialty caramel martini on the menu. Too sweet! The food is a gourmet wanna be, but falls short. The chili, beets, burgers and chicken were all pretty average, nothing special.

We went with fellow 60-somethings on a Saturday night and were pleasantly surprised. The food was tasty (we shared a variety of small plates plus entrees), our waitress was polished and professional, the bourbon card is quite good, we enjoyed the music (early show) and the price point isn't bad. It does cater to a younger crowd, and there's a... More

Food portions were much too small for the price paid. The food itself did not have a lot of flavor. Service was ok. Dessert was good. Cappuccino was poor. I will not return to this establishment.

Went for Sunday brunch and the food and service were just okay even though it was not terribly busy. Live music playing loudly when we got there. This is a place for a younger, hip crowd, not 60 something's from the suburbs. I think our 27 year old son and his friends would enjoy it. Tough finding a spot to... More

My friends and I are still shaking our heads about the bartenders that ignored us, the servers that were rude, and the manager's yawning eyerolling do-nothing apology. So if the food was good, or the Robert Mitchum was worth checking out, it is irrelevant.

Went to checkout whether they had the BEST vegetarian burger in Minneapolis! Here's what I concluded: - they have the BEST chocolate bread pudding dessert! - Veg. Burger was ok. Nothing great. - Fries were well seasoned - a rarity if you ask me! - non-veg burger was good and meatballs were nice as Hubby puts it! - staff was... More

Pros: Is located in uptown, where all the cool people want to be. The food looks soo pretty on your plate. High tech waitress-they text your order to the chef- Very creative menu. Try the Empanadas I loved them! And if you want to know what brussel sprouts are suppose to taste like, this is the place. Cons: Parking is... More

Great menu, they really go above and beyond to make sure their food is cooked perfect. Also they love making the drinks stiff.
