This restaurant was recommended because of its farm-to-table approach to dining. While the atmosphere is pleasant, the food is unremarkable and unoriginal. One can look past a limited menu if the selections are all very good, but I tried four different dishes and wasn't impressed with any of them. And while I appreciate a grass-fed burger as much as the... More

We first went here for breakfast. The fact is I am hard to impress with breakfast as it is one area I am good at myself. This place impressed me. Their hash used (as all their meals do) fresh ingredients from their own farm. This included rhubarb used like I had never seen it. Their homemade jelly was superb. The... More

We stopped at Wise Acre to check out their acclaimed burger. Specifically, the royal brie and bacon burger as it was recently ranked #3 by a local magazine for burgers in Mpls. Our burgers were a bit underwhelming. They were a bit dry though tender, the brie was nice, bun was average. What really stood out was the slice of... More

While visiting family we were directed to the Wise Acre for dinner and were treated to an excellent meal. I am the one who avoids the red meat and my meal was just as exceptional as the others (so they told me). I had the Hello Hand Pie and the cheese and mushrooms were perfectly prepared. The cabbage salad and... More

During my recent trip back to my hometown, I convinced my mother to take me straight from the airport to Wise Acres for lunch. In spite of the fact the special of the day involved pork stuffed zucchini - I am a vegan eater - and I recalled most of the menu is quite meaty from past visits, I looked... More

Five for the bacon! But fewer stars for everything else, including the service. I know everything is farm fresh, and that's great; you expect to pay a little more. But at least on our visit, the portions were very small. The hash comes in a small bowl with plain vegetable chunks, ham, maybe two whisked eggs and a half slice... More

We had a wonderful lunch on the patio (dog friendly). Most of the ingredients on the menu are from the family farm, so yum! The bacon (thick sliced) was the best I've ever had and the farmer style potatoes were great too. They have some cleverly designed drinks - mine was sparkling wine, bitters, and a raw sugar cube and... More

My wife and I have dined at Wise Acre multiple times over the last few years, most recently two weeks ago. Food is creatively presented, delicious, and leaves you wanting more. Every meal starts with seasonal popcorn, the salads are always interesting, and the duck and chicken dishes are awesome. The service is also always top notch. I highly recommend!

We enjoyed the experience and the food was fresh and high quality. We spent close to $50 for two of us, which seemed expensive, although it was great knowing the ingredients for fresh and it was a true farm to table experience. The menu option were varied and unique to this experience, and somewhat limited depending on your tastes. We... More
