Small, Select Menu that Doesn't Disappoint

The menu is carefully crafted based on what is fresh and available. I dined here recently with family members and we went away full and happy. My husband and I went for a Saturday morning breakfast before heading over to a local museum. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the service was excellent, our coffee cups were never empty!. I had the special of the day: the good luck brunch ( it was just after New Years): bread pudding, home made pork sausage and black... More

Recommended by my sister for a Sunday birthday brunch for our mother. There was a 40 minute wait for seating, but the food was definitely worth it. We were a group of 7 and ordered several different dishes from a blue cheese hamburger, french toast with fruit and yogurt, scrambled egg sandwiches, etc. Everyone was happy and satisfied. Friendly staff,... More

This is not an eatery for the faint at heart...Menu and portions have a rural scale and tone. This what Minnesota food outstate was like before fast food took over there. Wow, is that bacon good here !...thick sliced, juicy, with strong meaty taste. Order anything from the menu that has some bacon. We tried this South Mpls restaurant for... More

Only had Happy Hour menu at time of visit. But very different menu from most other places. Good beer and wine selection. One in our party just had to have the root beer float. Nothing looked like commercial food, all appeared made on site.

Non-pretetious, fresh and unexpected flavorful combinations, healthy eating designed with visual appeal, attention to detail, pleasant surroundings, recycled neighborhood building, friendly staff - in other words, nothing seems to be missing. Bonus: a visit to their companion garden store across the street.

What a wonderful first time experience at Wise Acre. My son, who recently moved into the neighborhood, took my wife and me to to dinner to celebrate my birthday. All I knew was this is a great place to eat fresh and interesting dishes prepared with care using produce raised locally, much in their own ground. Once my son alerted... More

What a fun, eclectic restaurant! The food was so good...I had the burger with brie and bacon and the bacon was memorable! In the future I would skip the frozen custard with hot fudge though....just give me more of that delicious bacon please!! The setting is unique and our server was simply wonderful. Knowledgeable and very accommodating of special requests... More

This place was recommended by friends in the food industry. The atmosphere is cool with outside seating. I didn't even mind the planes overhead, as it's right in the flight path of msp. However when I reviewed the menu I was stunned at the prices. I know it is farm to table, but I've had less expensive ftt meals. What... More

very hip, very cool restaurant with delicious farm to table food and a creative wine program. Casual, almost garden-like atmosphere with wonderfully prepared food and a menu that constantly changes. Not a stuffy white tablecloth restaurant, but a delicious alternative.
