I hate to rank this restaurant so low because it has a lot going for it. The location is good (easy to walk to from downtown hotels), the decor is nice and sort of men's clubby, the food was tasty, and the wine was nice. However, the NOISE absolutely overwhelms everything else. You cannot hear yourself think over the din,... More

While visiting Minneapolis for the first time we visited this foodie heaven. The Hawaiian Marlin made a believer out of my husband who is usually a fish and chip guy. The server was attentive and friendly and made our experience so much more pleasurable. I found the lamb shank to be fork tender and the sauce was savory and unusual.... More

I've heard great things about B&B. Tried the rib tips at the Butcher & the Boar stand at Target Field. I got to the Twins game early and tried them right away. I was disappointed. They tasted freezer burned and the meat was a little dry. I still plan on trying the restaurant. Next time at Twins game I go... More

Attentive service with more choices than the name of the restaurant would imply. With a group of 4 we shared numerous meat dishes, vegetables, mac'n cheese, corn bread, etc. and EVERY dish was excellent.

Went here a year ago before a concert and was blown away at how good it was. Went back last week before a baseball game and I think it got even better! Sausage platter was excellent as was the sirloin(cooked perfectly medium rare). My friend preferred the "long rib", delicious beef rib with a Tabasco glaze. Waitress talked us into... More

We dined at Butcher and the Boar with friends in June 2014. This was our first time although our friends had been before. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Our table had broken glass on it and we notified our server of this. It was cleaned up relatively quickly. The restaurant is crowded with tables so it is... More

Love this place. Hands down best place to eat in the cities. Everything top notch! We got the long rib to share and the sweet potato!

If you love grilled meat and/or if you love bourbon and rye, you must go here. They have an extensive selection of meats of all varieties, including my choice of a spicy boar sausage (finished on the grill) and 14-hour smoked beef rib (finished on the grill), which were outstanding. To match an extensive meat menu is one of the... More
