The beer is better than the food but the food isn't bad. Try the cauliflower fritters if you like cauliflower. They are unique and tasty.

The Republic was across the street from our hotel so my party of 8 went here for dinner. The outside patio was fantastic but we were denied seating because we wanted to eat as one large group and the staff would not push two tables together. Disappointing. Instead, we were told to go inside. Too bad we couldn't find the... More

Very nice place to sit outside (weather permitting) have a beer or cider. Smaller menu but very good.. Ask to see what the sausage plate is and the soup for the day. Both were very good (Duck sausage and chorizo soup respectively). Very friendly, efficient service. Dinner for two with drinks was about 35 bucks.

I would strongly advise against going here! On a recent visit, we waited for over 40 minutes just to get our food...and our drink order had still not come! When we finally hunted down a manager and our waitress, they seemed perplexed as to how to resolve it (i.e., go to the bartender and tell him you need the drinks... More

This is the place for Seven Corners beer and patio. And if it is raining, they have a great inside space. To be clear, this is the ONLY place for beer and food in Seven Corners. Fantastic beer selection, all on discount happy hour. And really excellent food. Their burger is one of the best in the Cities. Great service.... More

The people were nice and the weather was great but the food was not outstanding. I ordered the steak frites salad ala carte and it was fine, not a huge portion but fine. For the money I have had much better portions and just overall a more memorable meal. My husband had the batter fried fish and it too was... More

Ate here with a couple of friends before heading off to Pride festivities. The menu was small but everything looked really delicious. I had the veggie sandwich with a side of greens and it was good. They have an extensive beer list, but you can order your favorite cocktail, too. I don't remember what the wine selection was. I tried... More

This place is worth a visit ... A return visit too. Got in late to the hotel and needed some food and a good cocktail. This was a great choice. Ordered the Kale salad, poutine, angus burger, cider, Sazerac (excellent), Mule Deer (also excellent). I would definitely come back ... Quality food and great selection of quality beer and liquor.... Rustic surrounding, many craft beers. Food was delicious, we had the salmon. Could not have been happier. It was mid afternoon so it was quiet, had a table by the window overlooking the hustle and bustle of uptown area.

We traveled to Minneapolis this past weekend for a concert and stayed in a hotel right across the street from the Republic so we decided to give it a try for breakfast since we heard they had brunch AND bloody Mary's. I will mention that the inside of the restaurant is very neat and there is plenty of seating and... More
