Good service but food was meh. Lamb was poorly cooked and the broccoli undercooked. Vegetable curry was quite bland. Much better options are around the areas or really good Indian food.

Delicious food. However, also pricey. $4 for brown rice? And very slow. yes, that's because they make everything to order and that makes it delicious, but it would help if they did a better job of targeting pick-up times for take-out orders.
Not sure what happened to Ghorka Palace, it used to Be good. No flavor, tricking us into buying things, exorbitant prices plus an 18% service charge that was well-explained. Small portions and the meal cost a fortune. Won’t be back.
the service is the worst , small portions, very expensive for what you get......you may only get half of your order but they will try and charge for the full order......this place is ridiculously bad in every way possible......
So much flavor and fun food. Was packed the last time we went but this time only about half full but the food was just as amazing.
The hardest part for me each time I visit Gorkha Palace is deciding which of the delicious items I am going to order. I have had all of their curry dishes. My favorite is the Machha Curry. I also like Chyhau Tarkari, their Goan Lamb...Chili, and the Aaloo Bhindi. You really cannot go wrong with any of those in my opinion. The staff is extremely helpful in choosing something you will enjoy and at the level of spice in which you are comfortable.More
I think I’ve just been spoiled to better Indian restaurants elsewhere. I just didn’t enjoy this one like I expected to. The meal was boring and overpriced. I’d definitely go for other places in the area.
I had not been to Gorkha Palace in several years and was delighted with what I found. It still has a warm and friendly interior. The service was prompt and friendly. Everything we tried was very well made with the crispness of flavors notable in...trans-Himalayan restaurants. I sampled a South Indian preparation of tofu and vegetables in a coconut gravy with curry leaves. It was nicely done. We tasted several other dishes and all of them were done at an even higher standard than I recalled. I shall return.More
We lived within a few blocks of Gorkha for several years, and this was our go-to for great food! We always seek out restaurants that concentrate on organic and local sourcing, and sadly, Gorkha is one of the few options available, but that makes the...decision easy! The staff are always very attentive to details and kind and welcoming. Although it's not cheap, it's worth every cent for the high quality we've learned to expect consistently. We are proud to support our local and independent businesses and always look forward to the next time we get to go to Gorkha!More
Gorkha Palace offers a meal that is ok at best. I can't say anything better than that. For the cost of this food, the quality is just not there. I found the food bland overall. Multiple entrees and even the garlic naan simply lacked flavor....The meat was overcooked and dry. There is much better Indian food to be found in the area.More
I have eaten here many times and everything I've ordered has been outstanding. Great service and relaxing atmosphere.
Unpretentious with great service and great food. Very reasonably priced. A small menu and everything the four of us had was perfect.
In our opinion this is the best Indian/Nepali/Tibetan restaurant in the Twin Cities. It is a lovely space that is quiet enough to have a pleasant conversation, and the food is absolutely wonderful. We had the Goan shrimp curry and the lamb vindaloo, and both...were just delicious. The side dishes—raita, naan, lassi, and papadams—we’re also great. Even the service was on point—courteous, prompt, and friendly. I can’t think of a single negative thing to say about this place. If you’re in the mood for south Asian food this is definitely the place to go.More
We started with veggie pakora and an assortment of momo, both of which were outstanding. The veggie momo were perhaps the best although the buffalo momo were very good. We followed with chicken sekuwa and chicken curry along with an outstanding goan shrimp curry. The...naan from the Tandor clay oven was excellent (both the garlic and plain). We also tried the poori, a fried Indian flatbread that was new to us and also very good. The raita was fabulous. We brought our own wine, which was great, and their corkage fee was very modest ($10). The meal was excellent and of great value. What a great time!More
We went for lunch, a table of 4. The server was friendly and efficient, and helpful in choosing from a menu full of items we had never experienced. Typical of Thai food, the seasoning tends to the "hot" side but you can have it made...to your taste so you never have it too hot. The "Gorkha hot" is REALLY hot and left one of our party uncomfortable. Everything we had was delicious and no one was disappointed in their choices. Try the Veggie Pakora appetizer - it was a favorite at our table!More
