My wife and I found this little place by accident while I was in Minneapolis on business. This is one of the best resturants I've been to in the Twin Cities. It is very quiet and clean. The menu is very good with lots of vegi options. Once a month they have live music and we happened to be there... More

This Nepali restaurant is always among the best South Asian places in the Twin Cities metro area. I have been there half a dozen times over the past six years. In particular they consistently have the best pakoras in town. The service is fast and friendly. In addition to an array of India dishes there are also traditional Nepali dishes... More

My wife and I had dinner here recently and really enjoyed the meal. The restaurant is small and friendly, with a menu of Indian and Nepali food. I've been to Nepal twice and the yak momos (steamed dumplings) were authentic and tasty. We also had some samosas, naan and chicken masala - all of it very good. We would return... More

The food and drinks were delicious. We even sampled the yak steamed dumplings. The service was top-notch. A very polite server from Nepal. We were very pleased and definitely would pick this place each time we crave for Indian cuisine.

We ate here on a Tuesday night, six adults and a toddler. Service was a bit lackadaisical at first, but once our order was in it came out very fast. They have a scale for spiciness that goes mild, mild plus, medium, medium plus, hot. We had mild plus and medium dishes, all were perfectly seasoned. The entrees were proportioned... More

We had several vegetarian appetizers and entrees. All were tasty and spiced just right. Interesting menu -- a little different from the usual Indian fare. Not greasy, fresh ingredients. Good stuff!

It's always difficult to taste some exotic food outside of their original country because the taste has been adapted to the host country.... For example Chinese food in the US is different that in UK or France or... China.... Gorkha palace is great place because it makes us to travel a little bit in Nepal per its authenticity.

Decades ago, THE place for good Indian cuisine in Minnesota was Tandoors - located little more than a block from where Gorkha Palace is now. But, as the gentrification of the area commenced, rent increases forced Tandoors to flee to suburbia, and Northeast was left without ANY Indian food for over a decade. But now it has Gordka, and it... More

Went their for the first time. They had great food and great service. The waitress made many suggestions - both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. We tried everything she recommended and enjoyed all of it. They had a small patio so we were able to sit outside and enjoy the weather. We had the MoMo's - "what the restaurant was founded on"... I visited Gorkha Palace on a Friday for the buffet with my family. There were definitely some Nepali twists to the generally Indian food. I loved the Nepali version of wings, spicier and more flavorsome. We also ordered momos which were decent. The restaurant is small and there some baseboards that were tearing off ... It would be good if... More
