Enjoyable meal

Went here as a party of four. Booked about 2 months in advance. There were about 16 total menu items, including appetizers, toasts, and mains. We tried almost all of them! The toasts were good, the bib lettuce salad was good. The mains were just OK. The Halibut was a bit dry. The lamb was... read more

The owner of the best restaurant in my small home town said the one place my wife and I should be sure to go in downtown Minneapolis is Bachelor Farmer, which meant reserving months in advance - which we did. Surprisingly, it was the only disappointment of the six restaurants we sampled in our week's stay. Service was satisfactory, though... More

This is with no doubt a creative outlet for chefs serving up tasty dishes. This is not Scandinavian cooking, it is Nordic cuisine - a movement to use local fresh ingredients. Not sure with that in mind how the halibut ended up on the menu. This is a place for foodies. The decor is certainly Scandinavian. Cool place. Great service.... More

What a great restaurant with unusual but excellent food and service with great atmosphere. I had the duck egg with broccoli, walnuts potatoes and a popover with honey butter. A fresh greens salad was to die for. When they leave your bill it comes with a little journal where you can record your visit and your opinion of the good... More

Exceeded expectations. A unique experience with excellently prepared dishes from the burned butter and radish appetizer through panna cotta dessert. Meats and vegetables cooked perfectly in all three dishes our party ordered.

I enjoyed a wonderful dining experience here. The food was fresh and delicious and portions were exactly what they should be. Also, the ginger cookies presented in place of the usual after-dinner mints were a really nice treat!

I stopped here for dinner with friends, and we had an amazing meal. The server was fantastic in her knowledge of the food on the menu and how we could best pair them with wines and cocktails. Everything we ate and drank was fresh, flavourful, and delicious. We also felt like we could take our time and enjoy our food.... More

Ate here this past Sunday with some friends. Sunday nights at this restaurant they have a price fix supper menu consisting of 3 courses for approximately $35. Salad/ main/ dessert. Overall it's a good value and served family style. We were all concerned that there wouldn't be enough food, but were happy when we all walked out - not too... More

Really cool space, creates an awesome vibe for a meal. Food is executed perfectly and is more intricate than it would seem. Wonderfully balanced flavors, can't wait to go back!

The place was full at 9pm on a monday night so shows you how popular it is. Service was impeccable. I was really excited to try it after hearing great things for years and was a bit disappointed. The wine by the glass offering is very limited and the food was very salty (the entrees). The sides were very basic,... More
