A Home-Run

The server was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and thoughtful. There were 8 of us, and he served us with speed and patience. We ALL had different entrees, and sampled from one another. Everything was excellent, and the wine pairings were just right. We will go back, for sure.

My wife and I came here last night for her birthday, and we really enjoyed our meal. The food was delicious; we split a cabbage salad with a cheddar vinaigrette, and then split a "toast" which was a duck liver pate with various types of pickled foods, and two different types of mustard. My wife had the duck confit for... More

Over the last two weeks on a business trip I've eaten at a bunch of the trendiest restaurants in Minneapolis- The Surly brewer's table, Haute Dish, Butcher and the Boar, and now Bachelor Farmer. Bachelor Farmer is by far the best. There is nothing fussy about the food, but it is exquisite- each plate consists of a relatively small number... More

Enjoyed a Friday night late dinner with friends in a large booth which allowed us the privacy we wanted and still could hear each other easily. Friendly waiter explained the menu and their unique wine list that allows you to have a glass from open bottles that were purchased by the half-bottle by other patrons. So that extends the "by... My wife and I like to go to The Bachelor Farmer every couple of months. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is great and the service outstanding. Stop in the Marvel bar downstairs for a pre-dinner cocktail.

We went for a Saturday dinner, and the interior ambience is typical trendy, wide open, loud, sparse decoration. It was extra loud for us as they had the music cranked. I had meatballs and my wife had duck. Meatballs amounted to 5 each about half the size of a ping pong ball. Overdone to the point of being black on... More

For those of us who live near farms, it remains to be a treat to eat good food that is grown locally. The service was quite good and helpful. The cost of the items on the menu are quite pricey, but nonetheless, the servings are ample & the food is exquisitely rendered. It should be savored to its full extent.

We went on a Sunday night for a family dinner with 1 member of our party being vegetarian, and another that only liked plain food. Our waiter went out of his way to address the needs of everyone in our party! We had the toast with cows milk cheese which everyone enjoyed. The popovers were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, including... More

This is a great place for going out with friends or on a date. There is no signage out side of the building so it is helpful to know the area. Parking is behind the building or there is a few lots within a block for parking as well. The service was excellent and very informative. There are plenty of... More

First and best dinner I have ad in the Twin Cities! Amazingly cool bar underneath; set up like a speakeasy. The food is served family style and is the best I have had yet int he twin Cities. Farm to table, all good. Service was very good and not intrusive.
