Fantastic food and impeccable service! We tasted 6 items and all were excellent! Petite young Asian server was outstanding; very professional and knowledgeable.

Loved it. Crowded on a Thursday night, no wonder there was a small wait. Great menu; great, friendly service; great cocktails; great food. We liked the bruschetta with white anchovies and avocado A LOT. My wife loved the black pasta w mussels and I liked the foie gras tortellini - but it is VERY rich. We liked it all -... More

This place was still hopping as we arrived for a 9pm reservation on a Friday night. The scene is very trendy--mostly young people on dates and groups of partyers. The food was high-quality and reasonably priced. The service was great, despite the fact that we were seated a bit later than our reservation called for. We ordered a number of... More

Our first time and it was great! Great atmosphere with prompt friendly service and good food. Very busy on a Thursday night and we could see why. Reasonably priced food and wines with a nice variety of both. We enjoyed a bruschetta appetizer that was delicious.

I always recommend Bar La Grassa to colleagues who live in the Twin Cities. When some foodie customers asked me to join them at one of my favorites, of course I accepted. With three people in attendance it was the perfect opportunity to do a sharing of the cuisine that has garnered such great press. For our first round of... More

Ok if you like fresh pasta and want to try something different I strongly suggest the froi grois tortellini! Unbelievable! I was always a fan of the 112 eatery (same chef owner) and bar la grassa didn't disappoint. If you want something different there are great options or if you prefer the classic type pastas they have those too, and... More

What my wife and I loved about this place is that its stylish and fresh without being pretentious. The taste combination are unique without being crazy. All the food tastes like it was fresh off the farm. We're going back for our wedding anniversary.

I was longing for a good bowl of past e fagioli, but there was no soup on the menu. The pastas however were beyond our expectations. The mains were interesting and good, but there are better things to do with fresh King salmon than pickling it in marinade overnight and then hard smoke it. But it was different and interesting....
