The fish here was excellent with generous portions. The chips were soggy which if better would have made the experience much closer to perfect. The cola also could have used some improvement. It was pretty tasteless. I guess I should have had the beer! All in all if I lived in Minneapolis I would give it a second try. The... More

This is one place you must visit if you are missing England. The batter is crispy the fish flakey and the beer is on tap at a reasonable price. If you are not into fish then enjoy a burger cooked the way you love it from fresh beef. Only question, what is with the vinegar? Please please malt vinegar not... More

This restaurant has quickly become one of our family favorites. Fairly limited menu... but that doesn't matter as we always get the fish and chips. Service is very fast. Anchor doesn't take reservations and is not very big. If there is a long line, go run an errand and come back. Food is worth two trips for one great meal.... More

This was probably the greasiest fish n chips i have ever had. The fries were complete mush. The fish was good, but not great. No silverware provided for a take out order as well.

With the chilly temperatures settling in to stay, there is nothing more crave-worthy than a piping hot plateful of comfort food. For the last few years, my go-to for a delicious, satisfying, comforting meal has been The Anchor Fish & Chips on 13th Avenue NE in Minneapolis. The waitstaff at Anchor are welcoming and hospitable. Phillip and I probably dine... More

If you want authentic fish and chips, this is the place. Having had this dish in the UK and Ireland over the years, the Anchor is authentic, which is to say it is as good as the best we had across the sea. If you drive by when the place is closed, you probably won't notice it. It is not... More

I was really needing a Friday Night Fish Friday for a Good Friday meal. The Anchor hit the spot. Be prepared to wait, but it moves fairly fast and the hostess' times proved very accurate. It really was amazing to just watch the people here work. We got there fairly early, waited 50 mins but once we were seated, everything... More

That was by far the best fried fish I have ever had!!!! Service great....will return again and again. The fries were just so so and paying for tarter sauce is a little crazy. Fries looked better with the gravy over them. Would also like to try breakfast.

Go early to avoid the crowd. Even if you have to wait, it's worth it. The Fish and Chips are the best. Burgers are pretty darn good as well. Beer selection is better than most.

The fish and chips was fantastic, but we will never go back. 2 hour wait when we were told 20 minutes. Rude service, snobby regular patrons. The great food will not entice me to ever go back due to poor service and rude environment. Way overcrowded. too much hype about the place. Know it will not be a pleasant experience... More
