Great food in fun neighborhood

The restaurant was easy to find and carved out a very cute corner in the art district of Northeast Minneapolis. I brought the family and all six of our meals were superb. A small and cozy restaurant not to be missed. Our group of four started with the happy hour special by your choice of one beer or a red or white wine. Started out with either a Beet & Beef Carpaccio salad or the Mixed Green salad. Both were fresh and nicely presented on the plates. Dinners of Grilled Pork Loin;... More

I had the opportunity to see this great spot yesterday. It was a brief meeting so we didn't order food. The ambiance is great. Loved the combination brick and tin ceiling (even though it was painted). Very cozy feeling yet plenty big. The food I did see being carried to tables looked great, especially the salads. I asked the waiter... More

This was our 3rd trip here, but the first time I tried the burger. Being a fan of a really good burger I typically avoid ordering them at an eclectic type place like this. I'm glad I took the chance as it was an excellent choice. The flavorful beef was cooked perfectly (MR) and was topped with cheddar cheeses &... More

Experienced this neighborhood bistro for the first time late one night. The ambiance is welcoming, nice and noisy bar scene. Menu is small with some comfort food. I tried the baby octopus brochetta ( I always find octopus too tough, so I was out of my comfort zone) but it was tender and spicy...really good? Nice selection of salads and... More

We had brunch here on a gorgeous Sunday morning in Spring before Art-A-Whirl. The day was so beautiful, and the restaurant was so attractive that we kinda let things slide. It took over 45 minutes for us to get our eggs, and they were cold, so they obviously had been left sitting. The food was good, but basic; not bad,... More

We had been here for brunch a bit ago that was good, so decided to buy a Living Social coupon to try their dinner. Boy, were we disappointed! First, we were going to try their happy hour specials, but were told that the coupon wouldn't cover their cost. Since we were having dinner, our bill would be way over the... More

We had a larger group but had no problem getting seated due to our reservation. I am glad we had one as the restaurant filled up quickly on a Saturday evening. There were lots of interesting and good food options for everyone in our group. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

I loved Northeast Social, especially the atmosphere. The dim lighting and candles were a big plus for me. However, it was EXPENSIVE. My friend and I split an entree (although we did get two appetizers and several glasses of wine), and it was still more than $50 a person. Go on a special occasion.

Had dinner with friends here last night. Food was great, server was wonderful, however our experience was unfortunately tainted by a rude hostess with zero people skills. NE Social: you have a beautiful space, your servers/bartenders are great. Find a new hostess.
