Uptown was our destination for pizza. Family members bragged about this place. I finally got to eat their pizza. We walked a mile to this place. It is small, quaint, but what a pizza they make, it was a huge delicious crust covered with black olives and cheese....and of which had a super duper taste unlike chain restaurant pizza replicas.... As far s I'm concerned, this is the best pizza around. The St. Paul location is a small, old bar with a comfortable ambience. It can be very busy on weekends.

Though it is dated and dark. It really adds to the experience. Worn booths, still inviting. Breadsticks are a great appetizer. Always order a Large or 2 mediums because it's a must to eat left overs. I drive over 50 miles to get some of Red's pizza. It's worth it.

This is not a "fancy" place But, you'll be back! the pizza is wonderful. Thin crust "just right" not too thin, not too thick. The sauce and sausage is top shelf...and cheese...I haven't tasted any better anywhere. Service was good, Pizza right out out of the oven, everything freshly made...we'll be back and so will you!

The know how to make a great thin crust pizza. They pile on the toppings. The service is fairly quick.

Their pizza is absolutely THE best anywhere..hands down.... Atmosphere probably not the greatest, but who cares. The smells will caress your senses and make you feel like you've come home, and Mom's about to make her specialty for you. It's like love... Seriously.

I know one of the owners so am just a little biased here. BUT, it is Savoy's pizza and that is all you need to say. The help can be slow if they have a lot of deliveries but if your not in a hurry it's not a big deal.

While it doesn't have the same "feel" as the original Red's Savoy St Paul, it's a must if you are an Uptown/Downtown dweller or just passing through. Sure, the pizza is good, but for something unique to the area, try one of their hot subs! My favorite is the Turkey & Swiss (yummy banana peppers!) and the B4D (breakfast for... More

My first bite I had to spit it out because I thought I cut into the cardboard box it was in, I wasn't, it was the crust. The sauce is pretty good and the sausage is great. Probably the first and last time I go there. The 15 minute wait for the pizza was actually 40 minutes.
