Very good pizza

Great little pizza place near downtown. It was easy to get a table without reservations. Their pizza #5 was excellent. They also have a good selection of local beers.

Very good pizza - not my absolute favorite, but interesting topping combinations, great salads and good atmosphere. The farmers market salad, roasted vegetables and ricotta with crackers were excellent. If I go back I would get the meatball and ricotta pizza again - it was a great blend of spicy and creamy. Overall a good experience!

Wow, what a great find for us. We needed some food for a late night meal, and Black Sheep delivered awesome pizzas. What a great job they do, and it's highly recommended.

Cool location, tiny restaurant. We've read the great reviews, had to try it. Sadly the pizza was cracker crust, tasteless sauce, spiceless, bland and burnt on the edges. The Chop Salad was okay, lots of salt and white romaine with olives and a smattering of salami (or pepperoni??). On the plus side the service was spot on, quick and efficient,... More

I eat A LOT of pizza. I make A LOT of pizza. I've lived a pizza-filled existence for 41 years of my life, and I've come to know what I like. Black Sheep more than delivers (pun intended) on what they offer! I've been there twice, and on both occasions have been more-than impressed with the service, the quality of... More

The Sicilian was so good. Chewy and crisp crust, great sauce, good amount of cheese, very tasty. To add a kick we ordered meatballs as an appetizer and cut them and put on top. Yum! The chop salad was great and large enough to share. Small place and can get busy but deservedly so. Really good. Nice beer selection and... More

My wife and I went here while we waited for our brewery tour at Fulton's, down the street. We can two different kinds of pizza which we both enjoyed. It's a little warm in the restaurant because the pizza oven is in the middle of the room but it's different and definitely worth a try!

The atmosphere and service are nice, but the pizza is really underwhelming. The pizza toppings were excessive. More attention needs to be paid to improving the crust. The salads were huge and delicious.

Simply outstanding pizza. The crust was excellent and the charring was perfect. I had the meatball and ricotta pizza. It was magnificent. I would highly recommend this place for great and unique pizza.

We love Black Sheep! Plain and simple. The (virtually emission-free) coal-fired crust is some of the best I have ever had (Including Lombardi's in NYC). The toppings are delicious (though would personally love some hot pepper options); we typically get the #3 (hot salami) or #10 (or the #10 with hot salami!). The service is fine, though considering just how... More
