I've been here many times. Grab a seat at the bar and enjoy one of the many tequilas on the menu. I highly recommend the ahi tuna taco.

I was there for a business lunch and the place was so empty I had my fears. Food was more than acceptable. Some of the best chicken enchiladas I've had anywhere. My business friend from Baltimore agreed. The ahi tuna taco was good, but shell too brittle to eat with your hands. I'll be going back.

The outside seating was great at the Nicollete Mall location. Went for happy hour. Nice selection of small dishes. Had the grilled chicken tacos, mahi mahi tacos, chicken quesadilla, spicy habanero chicken tamale and a couple of margaritas. All were pretty good. They were pretty busy. The server was really nice. Attentive but not overbearing. The one thing that was... More

My wife and I ate here on a Friday night recently. We started with the guac, which was really good. Chip refills are charged, something we found out at the end (just a heads up). We tried a variety of small plates and enjoyed the variety of offerings and the quality of the food. Margaritas were good as well. The... More

This was such a fun night! The best drink had some kind of pepper muddled in it. It was the best mixed drink I have ever had. Food was good. Wait staff was fun!

I love this place! Always come back. Atmosphere is buzzing and the food is so good and so are the drinks. The corn chowder is the best I ever had. Get the guacamole with the fresh veggies (yucca is so fresh). Sharing small plates is fun and gets you to try a little of everything. Drinks are yummy and if... More

We met some friends here for dinner and even after we'd arrived, it took about 10 minutes for anyone to bring water, let alone order. After that first time, the service got a little bit better and our waitress was actually very nice. The wild mushroom enchilada was great and I absolutely loved the chicken tamale, especially with the fried... More

Traveling alone, sat outside (beautiful night). Waitress was awesome, made excellent recommendations. Guac, mahi mahi and pork belly tacos were amazing. Margaritas were the best I've ever had!

BARRIO although located on Minneapolis ubiquitous Nicollet Mall, Barrio is about as unassuming restaurant as you will find anywhere in the country. Other than a few reminders of Mexico, Barrio looks like every corner tavern in the industrial midsection of the U.S. Even the aroma of stale beer and Jaegermeister reminds you this ain't gonna be fancy eaten. But while... More
