We went back last week and once agin had great food with wonderful drinks. The variety of food is a highlight, the margaritas wonderful and the numerous options of local beer are superb. Add to this a a wonderful attitude by the staff and it becomes a pleasant place to spend some time!

Small place and menu kind of pricey. Drinks were average but service was awesome, very fast and friendly. The 3 salsa chip dip is yummy but can be very spicy.

These people know tequila and have a great selection. The bartenders take the time to explain the different types of tequila and how they are made. Very interesting. I've had tequila flights from $8 to $25. That might seem like a lot, but a flight takes me about 30 minutes to drink as I savor the flavors. Oh, the food... More

One of the things I miss most about Texas is the Tex-Mex food that one can find practically anywhere. It's reliable, cheap, and doesn't disappoint. I could not find that anywhere in the Twin Cities, and I tried many places. I finally went to Barrios and hit nirvana. First of all, their tequila and tequila drinks are wonderful; my favorite... My family and I were staying in downtown Minneapolis. We went to Barrio for dinner and I had the trillio margarita. I was the best I had in 20 years (only 2nd to one I had in Bahamas a long time ago). My husband and his cousin had the house barrio margaritas. The restaurant serves food "tapas" style so the... Bartender (sorry, forgot his name, he had traveled many times to Colombia). He was awesome. He explained the different types of tequila and was a pleasure to talk to. Various salsas are spicy and full of flavor. Enjoyed the ambiance inside (although there was also a hopping patio).

We stopped here for drinks and appetizers and we were not disappointed. The house margaritas were delicious and the homemade guacamole was fabulous. The wait staff were all very polite mad prompt. This will be a place that we return.

Whenever I'm downtown between 3 - 6, I stop at Barrio for the great HH app menu. Always get the chicken and black bean tostada and at least one other item. Dinner is great too, but a little pricey - and they even charge for chips. So I'll stick to HH. Had to delete one star though for not having... More

The only thing we got that was a rip-off last night was the queso fundido. Beware, they charge for additional tortillas and chips, even when they offer and you don't ask. $5 margarita, goat cheese sopes, chorizo slider (A+), it was all good and pretty inexpensive. I find their prices during regular hours a little high. If you can do... More
