What else can i say, this IS the best bakery ever! I started visiting A Baker's Wife when I lived at the other end of the block and was pregnant with my son (who is now 8). I now live in the UK and I miss it. I visit A Baker's Wife every time I home, several times. It is... More

Incredible!!!!! The American Tea Cakes are phenomenal....I've never had anything like it---any pastry nearly as good. It's probably good that we don't live nearby or I'd be at this charming bakery every day and I would weigh 400#. :).

I had read the reviews on TA and this was on my short list of places to try; so, when I happened to be driving by (after breakfast at Colossal Cafe) we made a quick stop. The peanut butter cookies are amazing, and are definitely one of the best we've ever had! We also had the cheesecake (ganache topping was... More

WOW is all I can say about this great little bakery that I was introduced to recently. The aroma sucks you in and makes you drool as you look at the vast display of yumminess. Cookies the size of my head were in the first glass case, but thankfully, I was able to make it to the second glass case... More

Amazing funky little bakery. Old school great pastries, doughnuts, cakes, etc. Nothing stuffy or prentious about this spot. Just great food & friendly service at great prices. There is frequently a line in the AM for a reason.

The cinnamon doughnuts are by far the best!! Try to get there first thing when they open so they are piping fresh out of the oven. I recommend the bread also its very good for sandwiches yummy.

I have been to this bakery countless times, in fact I used to live across the street and its irresistible smell welcomed me when I woke up in the morning. I live a little further now,but still go there regularly. I am not a donut person, but theirs are the best I have ever eaten. I order their cakes at... More

About a year ago, my boyfriend and I were in Minneapolis for the weekend and as avid doughnut lovers, we set out to find a good bakery. Somehow, we stumbled upon this gem. Let me just say - WOW. I was blown away by how delicious not only the doughnuts were, but the Blondie as well. It's a blonde brownie... More

Named after the French farce film A Baker’s Wife is the little bakery that can. It is not fancy or pretentious, just a neighborhood bakery that offers up wonderful goods at great prices. When the old location closed due to raised rent it was deeply missed. The current location is larger and open longer hours. I drive 30 miles one-way... More
