Love this place. Great selection, great prices. I always stop in here when it's my day to bring team breakfast to work. They get you in and out pretty quick and have excellent baked goods. Just remember - cash or check only. There's an ATM at the little convenience store a couple blocks down if you forget.

Fantastic. When I worked in MPLS we had a company meeting once a month and an employee was in charge of the breakfast. I brought in boxes of items from here and everyone agreed, in the years of holding the meetings they had never had better.

While visiting friends we decided we needed a cup of coffee and a sweet treat. I had never been to Bakers Wife, and I am always open to a new experience. We did get there about two in the afternoon and they were not terribly busy, yet while we were inside ordering a number of people came through and picked... More

Absolutely loved the American Tea Cake, it is a must try at this stop. Also loved the cinnamon donut, served fresh and warm. The Caramel nut cinnamon roll left me unimpressed, gooey and dense.

This bakery is just adorable and they always have samples! They have a wonderful selection of baked goods at unbeatable prices!! I can get a lemon bar that easily has 4 servings for less than $2. I often times go and buy 4-5 desserts and then cut them up in smaller servings when I have parties. They have a little... More

What else can i say, this IS the best bakery ever! I started visiting A Baker's Wife when I lived at the other end of the block and was pregnant with my son (who is now 8). I now live in the UK and I miss it. I visit A Baker's Wife every time I home, several times. It is... More

Incredible!!!!! The American Tea Cakes are phenomenal....I've never had anything like it---any pastry nearly as good. It's probably good that we don't live nearby or I'd be at this charming bakery every day and I would weigh 400#. :).
