Baked goods. Wondrous baked goods.

My favorite bakery. The pear tart is my favorite thing to get - the pastry is wonderful and it has a real half of a pear in the middle. Messy but delicious. It is a fun little shop and not snobby at all. Prices are reasonable; actually an absolute steal for how awesome the baked goods are. It is... read more

I have now tried this bakery 3 times trying a different item each time but I just don't like the baked goods. They seem too greasy or heavy for me . (My favorite place is 3 miles away Mon Petit Cheri Bakery in the Seward neighborhood )

I normally go to work early... but sometimes I wake up a bit late to make it for the 6:30 AM open time. Lines will go around the block so get there early. The chocolate dipped cake doughnuts are divine, as are the cinnamon sugar... and I appreciate a business that doesn't mess with glazed. The regular cake doughnut is... More

Ok, I almost don't want to write a review for this place. It's already packed! I live a block away and can smell the donuts from my house in the mornings. The chocolate cake donuts are the best in the Twin Cities. They usually leave the box or bag vented because the donuts are still hot. The baker is just... More

The American Tea Cakes are to die for.....seriously! They are HUGE and we got some as a gift from a client at work and ended up cutting them into multiple pieces so everyone could try some....Delicious!!

There is nothing like the smell of freshly baked breads and pastries! I only had a few hours to experience Minneapolis and this was one of my first stops! lived up to the expectation/hype! Since it was St. Patrick's Day week there was fresh baked Irish Soda Bread which was excellent! and the chocolate chip cookies were excellent! The young... More

A great spot for my coffee and donut stop. The counter staff is eager to serve. Fine variety of treats and bread. There is often a Baker's dozen people hoping to get to the front of the week-end questions to get their goodies. Worth the wait.

Love this place. Great selection, great prices. I always stop in here when it's my day to bring team breakfast to work. They get you in and out pretty quick and have excellent baked goods. Just remember - cash or check only. There's an ATM at the little convenience store a couple blocks down if you forget.

Many bakeries produce a lot of yummy things. But every once in awhile you find something truly amazing. When I walked into "A Baker's Wife" the first thing that caught my eye was the tray of "chocolate corks" on top of the show case. I knew I wanted to try one of those, but I have learned to get a... Fantastic. When I worked in MPLS we had a company meeting once a month and an employee was in charge of the breakfast. I brought in boxes of items from here and everyone agreed, in the years of holding the meetings they had never had better.
