Very good food, but service at lunch of 3h and 225 € for 4 !!!

We arrived with a customer to try this restaurant, the medieval square was mainly full of foreign tourist. It was all good but the service took something like 3 hours, which is not acceptable. We shared an entree in 4 of us, then we went for Pasta and thereafter for meat dish. All very... read more

This charming little restaurant is in the main square of Montecatini Alto and convenient to the funicular. Look no further! The service is very good and the food is excellent. We tried the quail and the pasta with duck - both were delicious. We were not sure what wine to select, but one of the staff recommended a pinot noir... More

Lovely restaurant on the main Piazza. We had the deep fried dough balls with Stilton as a joint starter. Amazing!! Then on to the pasta dishes which were full of flavour and delicious. The duck pasta dish was perfect. We were very pleased with the service of the the waiter and found all members of the front of house team... More

Me and my girlfriend have found this restaurant by chance and we decided to try it at lunch. At a first sight, it looked very nice! Indeed... The atmosphere and the people was very friendly: a simple and nice style, beautiful and comfortable. We really liked the place (it also offers b&b service!) The menu is rich and the food... More

Fantastic restaurant with great food, style, ambient and music. Service is great. We especially liked jazz band that was playing that night.

Casa Gala was a pleasant experience. Friendly, well-trained staff, excellent antipasti (pasta fritta-burrata-raw ham and melanzana alla parmigiana layered with pane carasau, excellent). The meat was really good, the combination with the vegetables was not very suitable and needs improvement. I would go back next time.

Amongst a number of other places at the central (and maybe the only one) square at Montecatini Alto we had lunch at Casa di Gala. As the weather was wonderful we sat outside. Although service was kind of slow food was very good. We had a platter of cold cuts and local cheese with various local sauces as a starter... More

Went to Montecatini Alto in the evening and found this place with its lights on and seemingly the only restaurant that's open. We knocked on the door and a gentleman told us to come in to this cute shabby chic interior. We were the only one there. Had to use their restroom and climbed up some stairs and found out... More

Montecatini Alto is an Italian medieval Village with a small central plaza (Piazza Giusti) full of life and restaurants. The village is so small that if one parks outside the town one doesn’t have to walk more than a few feet to get to the piazza. Over there is “Casa Gala”. Simon is the owner, but he is also the... Lovely Montecatini Alto, Lovely square, Lovely Resturant run by nice people. The atmosphere is amazing, the food isn't that high. If you like meat Tuscany has better options for you, but i loved to eat there!
