Overall, a nice place to come offering a very value -priced menu....the restaurant even has a fireplace!

Here's a case where one has to look beyond the "chain restaurant fare" and try something different. I was very surprised this restaurant "Exceeded "my overall expectations in that it serves different items than the usual burger/fish/french fry etc.etc. You can still order these, but if you want... read more

There were lots of menu choices but the entree I got 'chicken & dumplings' was a disappointment. There was very little flavor in the gravy & not much chicken.

We go mainly for breakfast. Give me some biscuits and gravy with hashbrown casserole on the side and I'm a happy camper. It's generally a busy place, but the wait is rarely more than 15 minutes. The menu for lunch and dinner is good too. Lots to choose from and hearty portions. Most of the servers are very friendly.

They have one of the better breakfasts between Minnespolis and West Des Moines. This restaurant is popular with Iowans on their way to the Twin Cities. A good value family restaurant.

There were 4 of us who went on a Wed. evening. They weren't busy, but our waitress was rushing us through ordering .When our food came, some items were missing, the food was lukewarm, we had to ask for the biscuits and received a snippy answer that they were being baked. They came when we were done eating. Never got... More

Let me start by saying I love Cracker Barrel, we actually drive 3 hours from San Diego to Yuma Az to eat there. The food seemed pretty bland, everything tasted like flour, very pastey. The service was great, maybe it was a bad day for dumplings and mashed potatoes I'm not sure.

Have been to Cracker Barrel twice now, the pot roast with mashed potatos and carrots is really good I would say a four and a half, the meat loaf dinner is ok you certainly get a large portion more like a three and a half, the wife ordered a steak medium rare and it was very under cooked, side dishes... We always love the Cracker Barrel! The food is consistently delicious. The pot roast special with mushroom gravy was fantastic tonight. My husband ordered the fried chicken salad and throughly enjoyed it. The highlight of our meal was the seasonal dessert, Pumpkin Custard with a Gingersnap cookie. Enjoy!
