My relatives booked us a table luckily and we had a delicious meal: one had steak and ale pie with mushy peas and chips, another lamb chop with vegetables and I had the venison pie with new potatoes and vegetables - cauliflower, broccoli and carrots with new potatoes. Thought I could not finish it but I was determined. We all... More

Visited yesterday evening, was very busy which is always a good sign. Luckily they managed to fit us in. The food was excellent and so was the service. Will definitely be visiting again but will book to avoid disappointment.

Just had an evening meal at the Vernon Arms....the rib eye steak was out of this world. I have only ever tasted one other steak as good as this one, and I am now a pensioner! Generous portions and obviously cooked to perfection. Although the pub was very busy the staff were very attentive and extremely polite and helpful. A... More

Traditional British pub in the middle of the Norfolk countryside and only 4 miles from Cromer. Excellent service and freshly cooked local produce. Will be returning here in the summer with my parents.

Came here for an evening meal, staff friendly and efficient. Food amazing. Lovely oldy worldy pub that you could quite easily stay for a couple of pints and enjoy the atmosphere. Highly recommend

my family + I plus our dogs ate here over Easter and despite the pub being very busy the beer, service and food was excellent, the pub has a great atmosphere and appears to have the balance between areas in the pub just right. we had such a great evening there we are planning our next trip around the Vernon... Ate on Easter Sunday evening when the pub was busy with cheerful locals. Portions were generous, drinks were not overpriced, service was good. A very pleasant experience we would be happy to return to the Vernon Arms.

We booked here on the strength of other TripAdvisor reviews and it turned out to be something of a mistake! Firstly, I know that good food takes time to prepare, but nearly an hour for our meals? We had a jacket potato with cheese where the cheese contained no detectable hint of flavour whatsoever. Then a haddock and chips where... More

We were welcomed on arrival and escorted to our table. Our waitresses were very polite and checked our order to ensure it was correct. The food was well presented and cooked and not too expensive. The wine also was very good and again not overpriced. A very nice atmosphere with plenty of locals which is nearly always a sign of... More
