I have eaten at Samba several times and always been pleased. The menu is extensive and I intend to continue exploring it. As a lover of beans, I had a lot of choices. The shrimp dish I had at my last visit was perfectly cooked - not the eraser consistency of many other places. The place is staffed by the... More

This place has a very large menu. We've tried a few things, all tremendous. This isn't a chain, the owner greets you and seats you. It's all first-rate ingredients, prepared fresh. It has the look and feel of a local restaurant, which it is, but it deserves to be a destination restaurant, which I'm sure it will be, soon. A... More

I write this review from the perspective of someone who hasn't been to a restaurant like this before. I had the pork sandwich with fries and it was decent. I likely won't go back unless it is with business colleagues on a lunch like this was.

We had a family trip and we ended up in this restaurant. We went there 2 times in a row to check other items in the menu. It was a very good meal and I can say next time I will go back there to try the other items in the menu.

A great find with a nice selection of dishes - in a town not necessarily known for international cuisine. When we go back we are just going to sit at the bar and get several orders of mussels and drink their house cocktail made with lime and saki. Both are well-prepared and a great value. Easy walking distance to the... More

Hard to find such an authentic restaurant in the Twin Cities. Forget about thos national chain glutonous Brazilan chains. Find your way to this unassuming little place in Downtown Hopkins. The owner greats you and checks in during your meal. It is his family recipes you dine on. We had the flat bread appetizer. Delicious. Then came the entrees, Bobo',... More

We St. Paulites found ourselves in traffic on the West side of Minneapolis and decided to find a place for dinner. Opentable yielded Samba a short distance away. When we arrived we were the only patrons and we immediately started to worry. We should not have. While I cannot pronounce the dishes we had, my wife and I both loved... More

We had the paella and the seafood appeizer (Mussell, shrimp, scallops in a garlic /white wine sauce) I had it made into an entree with papardelle and they were both excellent. Flan was great too! Very flavorful fresh food and very good, friendly service. Best seafood we have had in quite awhile!

I sat at the bar for lunch. Service was fast. I had the pastel catupiry = nice smooth cheese & tomato. I also had the small palm salad with dressing on the side. The lettuce could have been of a higher quality. I might go back
