The end of March, 2014 the iconic restaurant named Zimmy's closed, and probably won't open again. This place got it's name from Bob Zimmerman, more commonly known as Bob Dylan who grew up and graduated from Hibbing High School. This was a good place, with lots of pictures and Dylan memorbilia, good food, strong drinks, and a great atmosphere. Ironically,... More

Unfortunately, Zimmy's is no longer open! For another option, try Grandma's in the Park. Great food and selection.

Zimmy's is what a Dylan tribute should be. A good place to play music and relax. I was pleasantly surprised by Zimmy's relative non commnercial character and it was another great reason to visit Hibbing. Enjoyable and friendly.

Unfortunately for Bob Dylan fans, who have long enjoyed meals amid Dylan memorabilia in an old, re-purposed service station with a great atrium, Zimmy's has closed its doors this winter. Though locals hope it's not forever, call before making a special trip.

My husband and I stopped into Zimmy's on a Friday night, thinking we hadn't been there in a long time and they used to have good food so it would be something different. Well, it was different all right! After seating ourselves as the hostess was no where to be found, we waited and waited for a waitress to come.... More

My brother and I dined. I had the steak frites, he had the ribs. Both were very good. We also liked the Dylan decor.

The food was above average but the physical plant was beautiful. Nicely decorated with all sorts of Dylan memorabilia. We had pasta and passed the taste/texture test.

If you enjoy an Applebee's atmosphere then this one is for you. The bar is really the highlight. There is a small outside eating area. My last experience was not the best. The waitress sucked to be honest. Actual she was so bad she was the joke for the rest of the day. And the food was good but expensive... More

If like me you dropped by Hibbing to take a quick look at the house where Bob Dylan grew up, which isn't open to the public, you probably want to drop by Zimmy's also. It's basically sort of a Hard Rock Cafe/ TGIFriday's restaurant concept, only everything on the walls is Dylan posters, Dylan photos, Dylan sheetmusic. Easy to find... More

It is nice if you are in to Bob Dylan memorabilia and the food is a three out of five. But, the service was terrible. It has the flavor of just another Applebee's in any city. I wish I would have chosen a more local flavor.
