Grew up in Harmony, so I have been going to the Harmony House for more than 40 years. Still a great place for breakfast (especially if they have the caramel sweet rolls). Ate there with family for breakfast recently: food was all made as ordered and tasty, omelettes were great. The only downside was that there was only one person... More

fiends and myself enjoyed the special of the day- roast beef, really good roast beef, home made mash potatoes, two sides and prices included the best pie at 6.95. Recommend the regular portion which is just right for lunch . The pie was amazing! I bane 3 circles because the service was pour. We had to ask for coffee and... More

Harmony is about 10 miles north of Decorah, IA on US 52. The Harmony House is downtown in an older commercial building. The "regulars" were gathered at a long table. The service was OK and the food was about the same. The price was what I expect in small towns, so there were no surprises, either good or bad. I... More

On just about all my travels to visit the Amish, I stop at the Harmony House for lunch. You just can't beat their prices and the food is excellent. The homemade pies are great! My favorite is the macaroni salad.

I can't see how anyone can complain about this cute little diner. They should be ashamed, and at with these reasonable prices too. Everything was just dandy.

This restaurant was recommended by one of the local gift shops so six of us adults stopped in for lunch just before 1 p.m. What we didn't realize is that the restaurant closes at 1:30 and we were way too late to be treated with friendliness, and on the border of being treated with civility (except by the other customers... The place seems popular enough with the locals so we gave it a shot. The feel is that of a school cafetria. OK, I can live with that if the food is good. But it's not. The food matches the interior. Bland and lifeless. Canned green beans and plain white wonder bread. I would never recommend this place to anybody.

I am an officianado of ma and pa cafes. My family rarely eats at chain restaurants. We like to stumble upon little town restaurants and enjoy good, homecooked food. Please read my whole review because I want you to make your own decision before going here. There were four choices: cod, roast beef dinner, or tuna noodle casserole or the... More

We ate breakfast here one morning on our trip. It is just a small town cafe. There is nothing special about it. We got what you could get if you made your own breakfast. Only their food was quite greasy. The hash browns tasted like grease and I could have wrung the butter out of the toast. But I think... More
