Always good. Wether you come for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you won't get a better meal in the Grand Rapids area. For dinner, in the dinning room, I suggest you come between 4-6 pm for the "sundowners" menu, it's more reasonably priced. I really like the walleye ala ritz with their yummy wild rice or the prime rib dinner. Although... More

Eat here....and ask to be served by Denise, what a lovely lady. Always smiling and concerned with your satisfaction. We had steak sandwiches, cooked perfectly. Started with a potato pork soup that I could not get enough of. One thing I would suggest replace the toast under the steak with a nice thick piece of toasted garlic bread. Incredible meal,... More

We ate at The Cedars Dining Room in the Sawmill Inn in Grand Rapids on the advice of friends who met us there. They recommended the prime rib on the Sundowners menu which five of us dud have. It was scrumptious and came with a great salad, a sliver of dessert, a baked potato and a popover which theyare evidently... More

Go early for the prime rib with all the trimmings, plus dessert, attractively priced. Also had a free drink coupon if staying at the Country Inn/Suites next door. Service friendly, but a little slow.

We stopped at the Cedar's Lounge for a cocktail on our first anniversary. I looked over the menu and instantly regretted that we had reservations elsewhere! Our dinner at the other restaurant was disastrous to say the least. Looking forward to visiting the dining room soon! All the staff was very friendly, funny and personable.

Get there for the 4-6 pm early bird prices and it's marginally worth it. After that, it's too expensive.

This restaurant was right next door to the Country Inn & Suites and we were told by the staff that they had real good food. We were not disappointed! We had the rib eye and patty melt burger both were yummy. Very 1st time having rib eye and it was very delish!!

Whenever we want a great breakfast buffet, we head to Cedars...nice variety of food--constantly restocked, plenty of choices for the most discriminating eaters. Highly recommend. Unfortunately, we haven't eaten any dinners there so this is the extent of our knowledge. However, they've been here in GR for many years, and have an excellent staff.

Been going to Cedars for the weekend breakfast buffet for over 10 years. The food is fine, but they have never changed the buffet. Same food for over 10+ years. Building and room is EXTREMELY dated. Walking into the late 70s. Owners don't seem to invest anything back into the Restuarant or hotel. The food is good, service can be... More

The desk staff at our hotel across the street recommended this restaurant for breakfast. We walked over to meet a friend staying at the Sawmill. The breakfast was great. I enjoying the huge pieces of bacon a lot. Our server was great. I'm sorry I didn't see her name tag.
