I was pleasantly surprised by the menu, and the food was excellent! We ate on the bar side, and my husband ordered the gyros dinner. I got an appetizer, and we both really enjoyed our food. We ended up staying for the band and had a great time!

My husband and I live right by this place for 2 years and we had not been there until about 5 months ago. We had the spinach dip and bruschetta for the appetizer which were very good and tasty. I have the Peasant Salad which was excellent and he had a Burger which he said was good. Nice atmosphere and... More

Hit happy hour which is the best and happy hour bar menu: Ahi Tuna $6; Gyros $5; Calamari $6. Hung around and enjoyed the music of 50's band The Fabulous Del Counts. You gotta try this wonderfully enjoyable experience.

I've been to this restaurant a couple time for business lunches - since it is right up the road from the company I work for. The service is consistently mediocre. When people are lunching during business hours, they expect a quick turnaround. Both times I've been to this restaurant, our server (who was also the bartender) disappeared for over 20... More

This is a comfortable spot on the shores of Moore Lake that was originally opened in the early 1980s and operated as the Shorewood Inn for many years. After a 4 year run by another operator, the historic property reopened as the Shorewood Bar & Grill in 2009. Shorewood Bar & Grill offers it's signature Greek favorites like gyros and... More

How many times can this place close and open over the years without ever improving? Weekday business lunch was sad. I ordered a "greek specialty plate" Spanikopita and stuffed grape leaves. The food was thrown on the plate and microwaved, not for long enough though. Lukewarm. Terrible. Waitress never came back to check, the Hostess and an older man, who... More

Went for a nice dinner out with friends...waiter was absolutely horrible; had no opinion on any of the specials - made it seem like none were good and he was right. Waiter was inattentive, had to physically wave him down to get his attention to refill water glasses, order drinks, appetizers, etc. food was average at best, definitely not worth the... More

I've been to the Shorewood about ten times, and it's been a mix. Sometimes the service is good; sometimes poor. I've had OK appetizers (bruschetta), a terrible salad once, and some good chicken skewers. To me, it's average or a bit below. If looking for something in this area, a better choice is Champp's.

Horrible management. We went here for some family karaoke since they start at 7 on Wednesday. My daughter is a talented singer and after 2 songs was told she could not sing any more because the owner did not want kids in the restaurant. Not sure why they have a kids menu or family night...I guess we saw the owners... More

My wife's family had planned a 65th Anniversary Dinner for my in-laws when a massive storm knocked out power to the other restaurant the day before. As power was still out, my sister-in-law called around the morning of the planned dinner and the Shorewood said they could accommodate our group of about 25 in their main dining room. I was... More
