The Cheese Cave offers sandwiches, soups and salads, plus free cheese tasting. In my opinion it offers the highest quality food in Faribault. The food served here is outstanding in flavor, presentation and the cost is reasonable. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. The Cheese Cave offers many unique cheeses from around the world and they let you sample it... More

I am a local and love to visit the Cheese Cave on my lunch hours. The service (Jake) is excellent and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. They have excellent soup, salads, sandwiches and pizzas. Only wish they had more cheesy soups (especially in the winter) - maybe a bread bowl of soup on the menu?? Nice place, nice people!

Wonderful food. Unexpected delight in downtown Faribault. The cheese is amazing. Service was a little slow when they got a little busy but overall a great place.

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that they have a smallish menu. I would eat here every day if I could. Being a Cheeshead (someone from Wisconsin) I thought I had died and gone to heaven when we stepped into the Cheese Cave this past weekend. They have 2 deli cases of cave-made cheese, as well... More

Another great find in downtown Faribault is the Cheese Cave. Their cheeses are out of this world, even something as basic as cheddar is way better than what you get in the grocery store. We love their Jalapeno Cheddar and Tomato Basil Gouda. And don't forget to grab a bag of their white cheddar cheese curds while you're there.

We stopped in to buy cheese before looking for a place to eat lunch. Lo and behold, they served lunch too! And what a delight. We both had salads - one a blue cheese and craisens and one Gorgonzola and pears. They were fantastic. The Gorgonzola is some of the best I have tasted and we each left with a... More

If you're in Faribault - then you must stop at the Cheese Cave. We devoured two small cheese plates and enjoyed some delicious wine. Our server was very helpful in explaining about the cheese caves and describing the various cheeses. I hope that I get a chance to return.

We love meeting friends there for a glass (or two) of wine and their fabulous food. The staff are accomodating and very knowledgeable about all the different cheeses they sell. They work very hard and the food is soooo good. We never leave without our Faribault Cheese Cave bleu cheese!

What a surprising find. Excellent local cheeses and great, friendly service. Reasonably priced and well presented. Highly recommended - especially the bellavintano and the gorganzola.

Their soups are excellent - but sometimes they run out before I can get there. Excellent pre-made salads. Breads are delicious !! I wish they sold the bread along with the cheeses. The blue cheese is quite sharp for me so a little goes a long way. It takes awhile to be waited on. I sat at a table, didn't... More
