Lunch visit

We stopped in after walking around Ely and saw this place. Food was good, priced for a resort town. Staff was pleasant and service was ok but in their defense the place was fairly busy with not enough help.

Our group enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Chocolate Moose following our Boundary Waters Experience. The chocolate mousse cake was divine!

When I'm in Ely I always stop here. Food is a little pricey, but good. Service is good and I like the artwork on the walls. There is also seating outside on a beautiful day.

We both had the walleye sandwich and thought it was great. The chocolate moose desert is big, and delicious. Perfect place to grab lunch in Ely.

The menu has a little something for everyone. The chicken quesadillas are my personal fav and the brownies!! They always come with a fresh guacamole and pico de gallo which is fantastic!! Great place for a more casual dining experience and has some different microbrews and drinks.

Our food was excellent. The restaurant was not to crowded but their was a cute shop next door where you could wait and shop. Next time I am in Ely I will eat there again.

This was a classic Ely restaurant but we were disappointed. While our server was attentive, the food was very slow coming out of the kitchen. The restaurant was not crowded. It was right after a holiday weekend so perhaps they were short staffed, still..... The walleye sandwich was not crisp or particularly flavorful though the flat bread with chicken was... More

I really love The Chocolate Moose. As a real breakfast nut, I think they have one of the best breakfasts in town. Of course, the Chocolate Moose pie/cake is also exceptionally good. Like... really good. Lunch is legit but after many dinners here, I've stopped going to dinner and opt for breakfast instead since it's always spot on. When/If they're... More

If you have such good friends who took you to The Chocolate Moose and ordered you such good burgers, don't need anything else. Just a huge Moos head on the ceiling :)
