The shop was filled with lots of different things. I purchased a weather stick and am anxious to try it. The owner was pleasant to talk to.

On a cold, rainy, dreary day, we stopped in to have a bite of lunch and the soup/cornbread offerings hit the spot. Since we are on vacation, we ate our dessert first. This is such a wise tradition because the blueberry/raspberry pie was warm and perfect! We enjoyed our tomato basil soup and the chicken wild rice soup that was... More

Had lunch at the Chocolate Moose with some friends. I ordered the hot turkey sandwich and it was the best I have ever had! I planned on only eating half of it when I saw how large it was but I was unable to stop and ate every bit. I also ordered the raspberry lemonade which was way too sweet...... More

Unfortunately, we missed the breakfast menu by being one day after Labor Day:( We still had a great lunch and the staff was great! Thanks to All!

My husband and I stopped for lunch after looking at the other nearby options. We found the freshness of the salmon, salads, cornbread, and especially the homemade pie to be awesome. If you are in the area, put this one on your list.

We had a late lunch after hiking at Angleworm Portage/Trail in the BWCA. We sat on the patio since there was a canopy and it looked like rain. Good service. We each had a burger and they were delicious!! Good prices and yummy eats :)

Ate dinner here with another couple. This place is usually PACKED for lunch & we had never tried dinner. Had to wait about 1/2 hour so browsed next door at Piragis (where the restrooms are located). I had salad, wild rice pilaf, chicken with a sauce, snap peas. Slice of specialty bread served with salad but no bread/butter with the... More

Ate here after my friends and I came out of the Boundary Waters. Even though we had not taken showers we were well received and the service was friendly. Food was very good. Had a vegetatarian with us and there were several selections that suited her. Actually had too much food to eat. Nice craft beers. Friendly wait staff. Love... More

I think Chocolate Moose is better fit to the lunch crowd, and crowded it usually is. We tried dinner and it was nothing exceptional. Had shrimp Mac-Cheese and it was kind of a joke, a few salad shrimp sprinkled into a rotini style pasta. Way over priced and tasteless. My wife had the walleye and it was better at the... More
