Nice, Downtown Location Better

I had a nice experience here. There is nothing wrong with the atmosphere. The facility is clean enough. The bartender helped me make a good choice on a tequila flight. If you are in Edina and looking for good tequila, this is the place! Having been at the downtown location several times, I cannot... read more

I am not sure why I never write reviews of the local restaurants I love. When traveling, I always seem to find the time. I love this place. Great atmosphere, terrific service, and wonderfully different Mexican style. Try the corn chowder it is the best I have had. Also the ahi tuna tacos are great. Oh and the sauces, and... More

Stopped at the airport location. Small portions and a large price. Won't be stopping again while traveling. I was looking forward to a good meal and the chicken tacos we marginal....

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Twin Cities! No, there is not free chips and salsa, but this is not your typical Mexican restaurant either. If you're looking for burritos smothered in gravy or fajitas on a skillet with oil...do NOT come here! What you will find here is an innovative blend of flavors....small plates that are... More

$9 for guacamole, $3 for a soda, $3 for 1 taco, ouch! The food is okay but It's not worth the price. It's very loud and has lots of bar seating. It's a better place to meet friends for drinks and share the $9 guacamole. Also, NO FREE CHIPS AND SALSA!!! Booooo!

Food is good, value is good if you are there for happy hour. However, they recently shut off their public wifi which is a big disappointment and will force me to find an alternative.

We heard so many great things about Cocina del Bario, but that wasn't our impression. We went in the middle of the week, it wasn't busy at all but the service fell flat. The food was good but nothing special that I would recommend. I would not suggest this for a meal, maybe a cocktail and an appetizer but nothing... More

There is normally a wait whenever you go, so be prepared. But the guacamole is fresh and you can't beat the atmosphere.

Food at Barrio is served tapas style with the option to dine on as many or as few items as you desire. The tacos/tamales and enchiladas are in the $5 range and two are usually enough to satisfy a normal appetite. There are also small plates which are bigger portions and full sized entrees. The corn chowder and chicken tortilla... More

I had been to Barrio once before and loved the Cubano sandwich. Returned today as we work & live close. We came in about 1:30 pm and were seated immediately. Our server came to the table immediately. We ordered ice tea which took forever to get and did not see our waiter for 7-10 minutes. Our order was Cubano sandwich... More
