Guac Makes It Worth The Wait.

There is normally a wait whenever you go, so be prepared. But the guacamole is fresh and you can't beat the atmosphere.

We heard so many great things about Cocina del Bario, but that wasn't our impression. We went in the middle of the week, it wasn't busy at all but the service fell flat. The food was good but nothing special that I would recommend. I would not suggest this for a meal, maybe a cocktail and an appetizer but nothing... More

Food at Barrio is served tapas style with the option to dine on as many or as few items as you desire. The tacos/tamales and enchiladas are in the $5 range and two are usually enough to satisfy a normal appetite. There are also small plates which are bigger portions and full sized entrees. The corn chowder and chicken tortilla... More

I had been to Barrio once before and loved the Cubano sandwich. Returned today as we work & live close. We came in about 1:30 pm and were seated immediately. Our server came to the table immediately. We ordered ice tea which took forever to get and did not see our waiter for 7-10 minutes. Our order was Cubano sandwich... More

Just reading a few reviews on here and I have to say our experience was pretty different than some. I think this restaurant is very unique and it's really worth a try. Understandably many people will NOT like the food because of how it tastes and is served. I thought it was amazingly good and very different, a little on... More

The Minneapolis airport is rated as one of the top airports in the country. I have never taken the time to eat at the airport, but had a long wait time and decided to have a bite to eat. The place has a bar and tables and big screen televisions. We ordered a couple of beers, they have about 5-6... More

Had a delightful lunch at Cocina del Barrio. Everything we had was quite good. It was a beautiful day, and we ate outside, which certainly enhanced our experience. Started our meal with their freshly made guacamole with a side of a smoky salsa. We shared the goat cheese and beet salad and the chicken tinga salad. Also, I had one... More

Won't bother going back for another visit. The decor is interesting, but that would not be enough to save this place for me -- unless they up the ante and do something like La Casa Bonita... I love Mexican foods and like to try them eating out and creating meals at home, so this wasn't our first experience with the... More

The 'rita was great. The food was flavorful, fresh and very authentic in flavor with a non traditional flair on presentation. I was seriously disappointed with the price. 2 sopes for 10 bucks. Fresh quac was fabulous but then when we ran out of chips we were charged another dollar for more chips. WTH is that, we were not even... More

My wife and I stopped by Barrio mid-afternoon on a Saturday and took a high-top table in the front bar area. There were many great tables available due to it being between the lunch and dinner timeframes. We had attentive service right from the beginning and started with their Trinity margaritas and chips with a salsa trio of roasted tomato-chile,... More
