We had a reservation but they were polite about seating us before they knew we had one. They graciously offered a choice of inside or outside. It was on the early side on a sat night. We had a lovely waitress named Sunny who was perfect. She was knowledgeable and effecient without pressuring us. In fact, all the staff seemed... More

I like this restaurant, and love their balsamic glazed short ribs ! Fall-off-the-bone tender, and wonderful accompanying balasamic sauce and pasta. Definitely my favorite menu item and worth the trip. Nice outdoor eating area, although it is near a busy highway (but nicely secluded by an attractive hedge).

I have eaten here on two occasions: #1 a business lunch with colleagues; #2 a nice dinner with my in-laws. During the business lunch we sat indoors and everyone felt nervous coming in because of the white tablecloths and overall upscale impression of the restaurant. The lunch menu was a little higher priced than many lunch menus, however the quality... More

Every time we are in Minneapolis we make this restaurant one of our choices for dinner. The first time we visited here many years ago my husband ordered their famous short ribs and I ordered their seasonal pumpkin ravioli. Both were delicious but once I tasted the short ribs I knew I would be hooked. And so for the next... More

After being hounded by friends to go check this restaurant out, my husband and I finally went. It's a great suburban oasis, but if you are used to downtown Minneapolis restaurants, then stay clear of this place. The food was OK, the service was OK, the ambience was OK, the prices were OK...but that's just it...it was just OK. It... More

A colleague recommended that we try Campiello for lunch. That was the best suggestion of the day. Honestly didn't expect much from an Italian restaurant in Minnesota; was pleasantly surprised. Portions were just right and not over-sized. If you like short ribs, you must try the Balsamic - Glazed Short Ribs & Spaghetti (with smoked tomatoes & Sicilian onions). Excellent!

We went for an early dinner during 'blue hair hour' and had a very enjoyable meal. My husband had the fork tender short ribs and spaghetti and loved it. I had one of their chicken dinners which was also excellent. We shared the calamari appie - a large portion and very good along with the glazed brussel sprouts which were... More

Depending on which menu you can access, it can run a bit on the expensive side. But the food is always wonderful. The rotating Italian regional menus always have some very interesting items to choose from.

I met an old friend at Campiello for lunch because it is about halfway. The hostess who escorted us to our table is youthful and classy. There is a long wine list and our server is enthusiastic about the menu. While the food is good, the dining room ambience is also comfortable for conversation. My friend and I passed an... More
