He Jensen family has been in the restaurant business for over 60 years. In 1947 Doron Jensen's grandfather Al and his brother Pete Jensen founded Jensen's Cafe in Fremont, Nebraska. Doron started his restaurant career working for his grandfather at the cafe. When Al died in 1979 Doron wanted to takeover Jensen's Cafe but he was too young at the time. Doron worked in the chain-restaurant business for many years, including founding a local steak house chain. He eventually grew tired of chains and wanted to start a "Local Landmark Restaurant" dedicated to his grandparents. In 1996, Jensen's Supper Club was born. Jensen's Supper Club was created with the mission that Supper Clubs belonged to the community. The 40's and 50's were the glory eras for Supper Clubs and they evoked a sense of occasion. It was a special place to celebrate with your family. In 2014, Jensen's Supper Club became Jensen's food & cocktails. The objective was to create a more casual atmosphere environment more welcoming to a broad demographic. Surrounded by new outlet shops Jensen's food & cocktails becomes the perfect pre- or post-shopping experience for lunch or dinner for anyone seeking a great meal in a casual atmosphere offered with impeccable service. Jensen's food & cocktails continues to celebrate its original mission: A place not merely to dine, but to celebrate!

Nice place, but the food is below average

The atmosphere is great, and our server was very attentive. But the salad had almost no flavor. The potatoes were obviously made long before they are served and reheated. The steaks were average. The popovers were good.

I have been going to Jensens for years. I have always had consistently great food and service. But, in the last few years, the prices have went up, the portions have gotten smaller, the wait staff is not nearly as attentive and the food is inconsistent. I went there last week with a couple of clients. We sat at the... More

Jensen's has an exceptional reputation that I think is not warranted. The food is quite good, but it costs a lot. For the most part, you have to order a la carte. The sides are large and will feed two; they cost about $8, for example, for a baked potato.

I love the food at Jensen's, and the wait staff was on point the whole evening, made our birthday celebration, special.

If you are looking for the atmosphere this is a nice place. But you can get a better meal elsewhere. The food was so so certainly not worth the prices.

Second year in a row we went to Jensen's for NYE. Their limited price fixed menu was a perfect blend of choice and value. We opted for the prime rib which was done perfectly. The side potions are family style and enough for two with leftovers. The wine pours were very generous and much appreciated. Looks like we've established a new... More

My husband and I made a Valentine's dinner reservation; while making the reservation, my husband was never told that there would be special menu that night, and no regular menu, which I had already reviewed & determined what I wanted. We got there an hour early had drinks and table was ready 25 minutes early. After being seated, we found... More

First of all we went in very critical of this place. This was the second time we tried to use our Living Social voucher the first time was a total failure. Well tonight it took 12 minutes for our server Linda to realize we were seated in her section. She even commented to us that she didn't see us. We... More

I have lived near this "institution' in Eagan for many, many years. This is my first time actually going there. The first thing that struck me was the dated interior. I know it's probably unchanged for many years, to please the 'regulars,' but after traveling extensively, this was simply 70's yuck. That being said, I was excited to eat, as... More
