We went here based on it being the number one restaurant and having been on Triple D. Plus, we were looking for an authentic pasty. I have to say we were somewhat disappointed in the food. My husbands pasty was somewhat tasteless, not seasoned as we remember them to be and the brown gravy was a little strange. I had... More

When we drove up, we thought 'Dennys' or 'Perkins', but oh, no, what a gem for our group of vegetarians, flexitarians, and carnivores. Much of the food is locally sourced or organic, and playful takes on the classics. Also great that they serve from the lunch/dinner menu at breakfast.

This is a great, unpretentious, quality eatery. We loved our food. I had an amazing beef barley soup. My English husband enjoyed his pasty, esp. the nice, short pastry. I enjoyed my fish tacos. The banana cream pie is fabulously home-made (though a little more filling and a little less crust next time, please). Service is quick and friendly. Note:... More

Organic , free range, healthy - conjures up quite specific images in the mind - it's more of a greasy spoon cafe - nothing looked really healthy - it all looked and tasted rather unhealthy - to me it was overhyped and a 45 minute wait in rain didn't help matters.

We made this mistake of visiting at noon on Sunday. The wait for 2 people was 30 minutes and groups of 3+ wait time was 45-60 minutes. We were a group of 2 and figured we were already there so might as well wait. The decor is a great blend of old wooden beams, stained glass agate art, folk art... More

I can't really rate the food due to what I observed recently. I sat in a recent meeting and watched the guy who delivered our catered food arrange sandwiches on a plate (with no gloves, and no hand washing that I observed). Then, held the stack of paper plates against his belly as he separated each one from the other,... More

The food here was amazing and there was so much more on the menu I want to try. From the outside it doesn't look much but this is by far the best place we have eaten in Duluth will definitely be returning.

When we saw the industrial neighborhood this restaurant resides in as well as the building and decor, we thought we were in the wrong place based on the great reviews it gets. The restaurant was packed with a wide range of customers. Yes, it looks like an old Denny's inside and there is no alcohol, but this place deserves all... More

The first thing that impressed me about the Duluth Grill was the diverse clientele. The Duluth Grill is somewhere hipsters and meat-and-potatoes gray hairs both find what they are hungry for, from vegan options to beef burgers (local and grass fed), and both feel at home. It really bridges the dietary divide very nicely and how rare is that? I only... More

Great place to eat. Found it by staying next door at (Motel 6 avoid) We did have to wait a while before seating ,but that was Ok. Place that has lineups has good food. Service was really good. We were there for dinner and it was so good we thought we would be back for breakfast which also was very... More
